Hi,

I just made a totally impulsive decision and just ordered a Toshiba G900!

I'm still wondering if it will be better than my Uni in every aspect :-/
Anyone here who's tried the Toshiba? What are all your views on that? Even if you havent tried it, what do you feel after seeing the spec sheet? Stupid decision...have i made??!

Here's the link to the product -

Specs are OK, but have you read about the software HANGS?

My main concern is software hangs and user opinions that the screen is unreadable in medium to bright sunlight.

If it was not for these two issues I would have ordered one myself.

But anyways I wish you good luck in getting a unit without the software hangs. Do let us know of your experiences.

Regards

stop worrying about what other people think. its about what YOU think. i live by impulse decisions. if you dont love something before you buy it, why by it. if you fell in love with it to the point that you just had to have it and purchased it on the spot then you made the right decision. if you dont like it, send it back or sell it on ebay. either way, its not a huge deal. relax dude.

on a personal note though... i hate anything toshiba makes. lol

to each his own though :-)

Here is a comment made by somoene who bought it, a member of XDA-Dev:

Got the G900 4 days ago but am not pleased with it at all

- device doesnt wake up after (automatic) powersave, only removing the battery will bring it back to life.
- poor umts receiving, switching back to GPRS where other devices (Q9000/Ameo) have full speed.
- very annoying usb power/sync connector, it is hidden behind a clip which is not very handy but after removing this clip the connector is still placed too far in the device so only the shipped cables fit well and not for instance my car adapter or other sync cables
- battery is performance is VERY POOR, even while using manual-powersave it is hardly working all day. When forgetting to charge at night it is dead in the morning, even while in power-save.

Maybe its just this device, anyone else having any experiences yet?
