Text message alert when new email received...

I am getting constant text message alerts that let me know I have a new email. Is there a way to stop this from happening? :confused:

I am using the stock htc rom, 1.18.255.3.

Settings...notifications....or read the manual

Above did not fix, I had to go into myt-mobile and change some email alert setting...
