i was wondering how to shrink music to put it on my almost full micro sd but i've found a solution. dont put it on your sd, listen to it from your house to your ppc. You want media freedom , visit www.orb.com
its free and i think its very nice i'm using it and i love it. there isn't any ipod with 500gb of storage and i have that...

Been about a week now since I've discovered Orb. Pretty kick ass indeed. But then again, couldn't iPhone users use Orb as well?

This must be the same guy that after driving from NY to FL he realized his turn signal was still on from when he left his house in NY.:D

Hehe.... nice. I think for that to ring true, he'd have to be 70+ years old and drive a Cadillac with a clothes bar hanging in the back seat.
And to ThaiM; iPhone users could use it, but they wouldn't. (hint: It doesn't have any flippy, dazzly GUI to poke at) ;)

:D and ORB isnt antiquted with old technology (Edge) so an iPhone user would be confused.

Orb is great, I just don't like tha, as far as i know, my pc has to do all the work.
I have a dedicated orb server running im my closet, 24/7/365.25. Its an old little thing, but it handles music well, but not videos.
Fortunatley my connections, upload atleast, is good. Almost 1/mbit second.
It (orb) does lack a few things though.
Internet Radio shouldn't need a pc to be used, and it lacks SuperAdmin settins IMHO.
But you are right. It's a great program. EASY to use.
I have tried to use it as XM Radio in my car, sorta kinda works.

i have been using orb and it works great... but do have an issue with it.. i went and created several playlists.. when i play them it will go through the first song, and maybe the 2nd, but then it flips out and starts playing random tracks and wont play them for any longer than a minute... if i play the tracks individually then there isnt a problem.. has anyone experienced this??

That function is built into ORB.
In preferences go to the setting for "play tunes with a minus rating" and tick the box.
You'll find that your Box Car Willie and Jim Reeves, Albums to Die For collection, will now play in sequence.
Please note that this change will not stick after reset unless you carry out a warranty voiding ROM downgrade.
This was was a Health and Safety requirement insisted on by HTC who wished to protect their staff who might accidentally use ORB when devices were sent for repair.

I did just find this on the ORB forum.. may be of some use to us having this issue..
http://forums.orb.com/viewtopic.php?t=8036
What device / media player are you talking about?
If it's Windows Mobile 5 media player there is a known bug that prevents it from skipping correctly to the next song. Use TCPMP instead (You'll find other posts about it on the forums).
Apart from that I don't know of any problem playing a folder, just browse to that folder and click "play all" on a phone or on pc click the play button without selecting any song.

And just an answer to all the humorous people in the forum i can say jokes in portuguese too like you do in english, and you will not understand them. That dont makes you idiots, but joking with people does.
