Orbit resets date/time upon reboot

Hi there,

Just noticed during my last 2 restarts that my Orbit goes back to Oct 24th 2006 every time I reboot the device. I have 2 batteries, and so when it comes to swapping over, naturally, I remove one, install the fresh one and power on which is effectively a 'soft reset'

I then adjust to today's time date and as a test, I've removed and re-inserted the battery and it's flipped back to that Oct 2006 date again..


Anyone else had this or better still, know what the fix is?!!

Just bumping this up...

I know ezman has the same issue...

Is the new WM6 Rom for these Orbits out yet? if so, is there a link to download the official version ? I'm hoping that resolves the issue...

any ideas in the meantime as to whats causing this odd behaviour?!

I think this it is not the OS problem.
Most phones have internal small battery inside the phone to keep the clock & date settings even if you remove main battery.
It may be a problem with the internal battery. You may need to replace the internal battery.
