Hi everyone,
as I've writed in a recently post I would like to change the housing of my Htc Tytn because it is totally scratched.
I've found a wonderful housing, the one of the Cingular 8525, which has eveything at its right place (like the front-camera hole).
 The bad news: it's obviously that the front keypads are different (the video-call button is missing in the Cingy housing).
:( My first thought: what will happen if I swap the cover? Well, that's because I've just searched in the forums and I've found an amazing guide which shows (from the a-b-c) how to disassembly the pda 8525 and change the housing.
Thanks to a picture of this guide I can see clearly that the internal keypad at the bottom of the screen (of the 8525), is quite different from the internal keypad of my Tytn.
 My questions:
1- If I'll mount the 8525 original keypads over my Tytn's internal keypads, what will change? (apart the use of the video-call button, that I've never used since now, and I think I'll never use)
2- Considering the case of the question #1, if I mount the 8525 original keypads over my Tytn's internal keypads, will I able to press and use correctly the "red/end" and the "green/start" call buttons?
3- Considering the case of the question #2, if the buttons won't be compatible, where I can find a 8525 internal keypad to swap with mine? Anyone has one for spare? I've found a website but the item it's out of stock.
4- Considering the case of the question #3, will my flex cable/ribbon support the internal keypad of the Cingy 8525?
Please help me I've looked in every past post similar to that one but I can't find any answer..
