Hi all,

A while ago I posted a message about my Bluetooth trouble with my GPS device.
I've narrowed things down to my bluetooth (either the settings, the hardware or the stack). I know for sure that there's nothing wrong with my GPS device...
The following happens:
-I turn on my phone
-I switch on Bluetooth using the Comm Manager
-I pair my GPS device
-Launch Tomtom or Route66 or Google Maps or any other GPS software I've tried
-It works perfectly for a few minutes
-Then suddenly I get the message 'GPS device not found'
-When I quit the application, I still can see the Bluetooth icon in the top bar of my homescreen
-When I enter the Comm Manager there's a red cross in the bluetooth icon, and trying to turn it on doens't work
-The blue light still blinks!!!!
-I can't enter the bluetooth settings, the device gets stuck (it hangs) for a few minutes

The only thing that works is resetting the device (turning it off and on again)
It happened in WM5 and it still happens in WM6!

Does anyone have a clue???

Sorry for my xxxth post on this subject, but I'm pretty much desperate!

TIA!

Ok, girlfriend try this [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BTProfile] "ON"= dword:00000001 -> 0 if off! BTProfile is the new key! Babygirl, give it a shoot!

Hahaha, I just thought the lady on the avatar is sooooo damn cool!!!! She's a beauty of the eighty's (her name is Joyce Drake by the way http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/joyce_drake )

I've tried to edit my registry an add the key, but I find PHM registry editor quite confuding, so maybe I've added a wrong key or value...
So far, no succes, but I'll try another registry editor to check my editing skills!
I'll keep you posted!

I have tomtom 6 on my dash with other tweaks to run it.

Go into the settings click on the "Power Management" scroll down to the "Display Time Out" and choose NEVER and then go to the "Home Screen" settings for the "Time Out" choose NEVER also. Hope this resolves your issue.

Another issue could be due to your dash/s620 not being App Unlocked.

Thanks for your reply. I'll try it first thing in the morning!
BTW, do I have to apply the app-unlock again after upgrading the ROM?

What other tweaks? I'm curious!!

i have to use a program called fake cursor and i enabled the jogg bar feature, fake cursor acts like a virtual mouse cursor so i can type in the address, choose options etc. i can use majority of the menus without it but you do need it some times, since tomtom is more for touch screen devices anyways. the joggbar i use mainly for the shortcut for the fakecursor. the bottom touch shortcut is set for the fake cursor app and the top shortcut is either tomtom or as mine is set to the fake cursor menu so i can disable it when im done.

So did it work? Another suggestion that might help, when I installed tomtom on my dads ppc and i couldnt get the blue2th gps recvr to sync properly, got really frustrated... I figured out that the my dash was the culprit, turn off any blue2th devices near you and then it worked instantly.

I posted a screenshot (post #10) to verify if I added the right settings. If I did it right, they didn't work!!
The disconnection of the bluetooth connection also appears when I'm in my car, and the only bluetooth devices there are my HTC and my GPS.
Thanks for your suggestions! I'm getting pretty desperate by now. The only thing I can try is using a different GPS device.
I'll keep you guys (& gals?) posted!
