The default dialer (dark green background with black letters) is attractive but nearly impossible to read out doors. I've searched and found lots of skins but none that say they work on my Athena using WM6. I tried two programs from Zombienexus without success. Using those programs, the Today screen is changed but the dialer is either not changed or is scrambled.

Can anyone suggest a dialer skin that can be read out doors- maybe white background with black letters.

I am not afraid to change registery values if that will help.

Many thanks,

nrm

Although I can't answer the question...might consider posting any Athena/WM6 questions to http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=380 in the future. :-)

i dont know about a dialer skin that can be used outdoors but may i suggest using an anti-glare screen protector. i have not found one for the htc x7500 but i have found a bunch for laptops, which i bought and cut to fit my screen:)

How does that effect sensitivity of touch screen? What brand do you use?

I was able to get very good results using SPB Mobile Shell. It gives very good contrast on the phone display. Not perfect for outdoors, but good enough for me.

I too would recommend SPB Mobile Shell. It really does work well onm the Athena

Yes, it does. Not trueVGA mindyou, just the 'normal' resolution

I was not able to get spb mobile shell and vga mode in wm6 to work.

spb mobile shell worked fine in QVGA, I switched to VGA and the today screen was corrupted at the spb line. I had to hard reset to clear it
