This issue has been posted in over at the HoFo forums as well, but I wanted to see if anyone could shed some light on an input bug that users have been experiencing with the Dopod C730.
When using Microsoft's Live Search, I am unable to properly input anything in the search field at the top that uses the letter keys that can also be used as number keys using the Fn key. When I input something like 444 Jeff...it comes out as 444 J155. The same thing happens in Yahoo Go! when trying to input your user ID. Someone over at HoFo has stated that the same input bug affects WorldMate software as well.
List of Apps affected:
Microsoft Live Search (v1 and v2)
Yahoo Go!
Worldmate

Well the same input bugs seem to be affecting all Cavaliers (Dopod C730 and HTC S630) as well as the HTC Mogul (Sprint 6800). So I wonder what HTC has done different with it's keyboard drivers for these WM6 native phones.

Seems that applications affected are .NET applications. Native C+ applications are fine. I wonder if (re)installing latest .NET from Microsoft will solve this.
Has anyone tried doing it?

WorldmateWord, the manufacture knew about that problem, but sold the cavalier worldwide knowing the device had that problem, the true word on the streets. This is not something that has just started................!

First, this is not an Excalibur problem, it is specific for Cavalier so it should be posted on Cavalier thread in order to get a proper response.
Second, this issue was already solved (partialy) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357970 but you have to use the search button to find it. Also you mention that the issue was addressed at HoFo, if you did check the whole Cavalier thread (here and there) you would see that the fix came from HoFo.
Cheers

Thanks for your blunt response, I came across this thread while googling my problem.
Thanks again. Will try what you suggested.
