I am new owner of M700 really interested to flash it from WM5 to WM6,but still no idea on the steps... abit worry as my window Vista does not communite well in USB with my dopod. Saw your posting but is in chinese. please help to provide the guide in english.

Hi there i have tried to flash my Dopod M700 with the official WM5.0 from HTC webpage and then latter changed to WM6.0 downloaded from xda-dev.. Artemis Touch 2.0 ver.

Both versions give different set of problem
WM 5.0 - My camera button and other shorcut button either cant be activated or when i press many application such as media hub, camera and audio manager pops up.

WM 6.0 Arte 2.0 - Button still having problem especially the camera. The new contact is giving problem displaying my contact even in sim card.

I also have another problem as using win vista and Win Media Device Center WMDC 6.1 from microsoft. I can connect to my M700 but cant do any flashing.

Please help me. This is my time using PDA Dopod.

Hi bro shaan, mind to share your link to download the WM6 that you are using?? another question do you encounter such problem as cannot activate the keys such as camera, comm manager and the media hub?

i tried to ask a few pda shops but they just tell me to go to dopod service centre at lowyat.

embrio, use WinXP for flashing, not vista, about your problem with camera button and other shorcut button, I think that it`s something wrong with your device, I use my 3350 from april and have a lot of interest of diskussion about Artemis-Love on many PDA forums, and I never listen about such problem you have. I foget about how many times my 3350 was flashing.

Tinic, would you cook rom for other languages? If you don't have time or don't want to do it, please post here how to make it myself... what must be removed and what updated.
PS: Is it possible to transfer audiobooster from original WM5?

Dear Embrio... until today HTC never ever release Official WM6 for M700 (Love). I dunno why they loose interest in this wonderful Artemis Model.
Don't you all love Artemis M700 got more beside 64mb Flash ROM & 64mb RAM.. it got extra spare internal 128 MB Hard Disk... Love it!

We just try our best to deliver WM6 for M700.. by modifying P800 Official ROM.
It just not many here using M700.. its not common device... so less cooker able to cook the ROM for M700 model.

Try Meschle's latest O2 Vanilla ROM.. its quite good actually.
Try to upgrade with WindowsXP because windowsXP is proven to be the best windows so far... Vista is buggy and performance Hog... they about to release the Vista SP1 soon... stay tune on that.. about WDMC.. well lots of folks here got problem with WDMC.. is not entirely reliable in some devices.
But.. if buttons is your problems.. try to install application that able to change the way button works... i saw many of those in this forum..
sorry don't know the links... maybe someone able to point it out.
