I haven't gotten my device yet (in the mail), but I've heard there is a BT headset bug which causes the person on the other line to have difficulty hearing you.
Is this true? Is there any fix?

I have a mogul and a tytn and a jawbone.
I have seen other posts (hofo, ppcgeeks, etc) that say there are major problems with bluetooth but I have yet to see them. I did use the bt fixes that I applied to my tytn to the mogul and have not had any problems. Jawbone picks up the request just fine.

There is a 5 pg thread over on ppcgeeks where people have been sounding off, but it doesn't look like there is a fix. I personally have a Motorola HS820 which has worked fine with my old CDMA 6600 that apparently sounds terrible on the other end.
Doesn't look like the ROM upgrade addressed the BT issues either... :(

The Jawbone sucks. Total waste of money. Overactive DSP and the worst wind noise of any BT headset. BT might be fixed in a future ROM update.

from what i've heard, the new sprint rom 2.09.xxx fixes the BT issues. I haven't gotten around to pairing my headset with it since the rom update, but I will at some point or another and let u know if it has made any difference.

I can only speak for my experience.
I am using the 2.0.9651.3 ROM on the mogul with the same BT fixes that I have used on my Tytn since they were made available ( BT Voice Command Fix from XCSdM and reg tweaks) and am not having any of the issues mentioned in the thread at ppcgeeks. My phone also came with that ROM from Sprint.
I have also used about 12 different BT headsets from Nokia, Jabra, Motorola, and others and the Jawbone has been the best so far at reducing outside noise/interferance.
Again, just my experience.

You heard wrong. The ROM update does nothing except add Sprint's Music Store.

I may be the unlucky one here, with a different story, but no one complained about my BT conversations prior to the update. Now, I've been told that my headset was "cutting out" today, so I had to hang up and turn off blue tooth to finish my conversation. May be coincidence that I didn't have problems before as the device is only two weeks old to me, but the ROM update definitely did not address BT as far as I can see. This BT reminds me of my Treo 700p....

The only fix is to get a different phone with BT that works.

had the phone a couple of days now... BT has been alright for me, although I don't use it for more than a few minutes of talking at a time!
