U can remove the home plugin from the screen if U go to Today parameters.
U have two options down the screen: appearence and elements. In elements, U can check what u want to see one the home screen, and u can of course remove the home weather plugin...

OK, here's what u want to know :) You can't uninstall it because it's embedded in the ROM. When the tools are available you would be able to do it, by cooking your own ROM :)

thx, i thought so, too.
well, guess i have to choose between installing mobile shell and disabling htc home or using this imo way too big plugin (i find kaiser's more useful as there are 5 tabs). thx.

You can always install the 5 tab version if you like. The cab file can be found in this forum.
I don't think the plugin slows down the device although SPB Mobile Shell is more comprehensive and quite zippy (fast)!

But it can't be completely uninstalled :mad:My hubby just put the Spb shell on my tilt and after trying to delete HTC w/out success I was about to do a hard reset to remove storage, which is I far as I can see is the only option to remove anything you downloaded. But if you get the Kaiser tweak cab file, you can scroll down to the HTC tab in the registry and turn it off and disable everything related! It worked for me, so now there is room for all the new shell stuff I have yet to figure out! Hope this helps solve your problem, it worked enough for me!
