View Full Version : Voice Dial with Scala Rider

hi all

i just got myself a scala rider (bluetooth headset for motorbike helmets). one of its features should be voice dialing.

after successfully pairing it with my artemis, the only profile i could choose was "hands-free" (which is ok).

everything works fine, but i can not get voice dial to work: when i press the (correct!) button on the headset, it opens the phone application (number dialing screen) on my phone, but it wont let me use voice dial.

this is not really cool, because "hands-free" should actually be exactly that :(

anyone here knows a solution for this or a reason why it might not work?

[Edit:]
ok, i should have had more patience with the search function (maybe).

i found this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=280939&highlight=scala) over at the wizard boards. post #2 mentions something about changing a registry key:

Here you go:

First:

goto "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path ". Change the default value from "\Windows\SDDialer.exe" to "\Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe".

Now you should be able to activate Micrsoft Voice Command by pressing the connect button on your bluetooth headset. My Scala headset beeps twice when it's ready for the Voice Command. My husbands Motorola headset beeps once when it's ready for the Voice Command.

Then you can also enable your bluetooth headset to receive music and other sound from your MDA by running the tweak "Enable Bluetooth Receive" using the Registry Wizard Program.

will that help with my problem? (i can not test it before tomorrow)
