Hey,

I am trying to install tomtom on my MDA compact III. Actually, I had it before, and I had to hard reset, and now I forgot how to install it again.
I have the tomtom in the root of my sdcard. I have the 2577 folder with the autorun.exe there. After running it, Im supposed to go and create a new folder on the hard drive, copy something into it, and run the tomtom installationform there. I dont remember what that something is, can someone help me with that?
I was just going through the tomtom threads and they didnt really work for my problem (im not new to this forum).

I know...if you do a search there are like 500 posts in the whole of XDA Developers ...and 175 posts in Artemis returned, related to Tomtom. Surely someone must have an answer!!

Just install via the CAB file. Its free from the HTC website (as you pay for the maps not the software).

Here you go, copy to your device and run it. You will need to provide your legitimate, licenced maps as its useless without them.

I went to the TomTom website, and logged in with my account deatils and downloaded the latest version, Tomtom PDA software (Through TomTom home).

I had to instal the cab file to the SD card, and reboot, after this it installed with mo probs.
