Got some splash screens you want to see in WM6?

Post them here :D

I'm looking for two screens, one to replace the splash screen you see on startup (the one which at the moment has TEST UI over it in red), this one must be a 240x320 BMP

Also a splash to replace the WM logo, this must be a 240x320 PNG

I've attached the current first splash screen as well (unfortunately, the forum software compresses the image to JPG so probably best to host the image somewhere else and use [IMG] tags)

i really think that the htc images that were posted look very nice and should be used for the next release. then people can change that picture themselves if they want.

i know in wm5 there was a way to change somewhere in the windows folder, and some reg editing. so i am guessing it is the same in wm6.
i remember i tryed the iphone skin for wm5 and that's how it was for that.

To the authors..... the second green windows mobile logo is fine, needs not be replaced... (IMHO!)

Also note that these are color variations on the same theme..... you can choose a mix of these images.

If i can find logos which are in good quality, then is no prob to make it for other brands as well. What i prefer is remove the third screen when booting (the one with operator something) and the second when shuting down (also with the operator cube or whatever). I tried to find the WM5 key where you can change/delete it but without success.

i posted four screens to randmoize various "features" around the 4.... i can make "those little designs" for the 2° screen (the cappuccino one), or can put the hourglass instead of the "starting up", can have the windows flag logo'ed in black&white, etc etc etc

jsut tell me what to do :D

Ok, at the moment, I'm thinking that one of the HTC images should be the splash screen, and have one of thenext1's screen as a replacement to the mobile operator screen (the ugly white one)

What do you guys think?

In my opinion, the colour theme just does not suit Windows Mobile 6, should be more greenish

it's not a forced thing. also note that the other two screens posted in this thread are just a copy cut paste of some Vista random wallpaper with the htc logo layered over. i think something new has to be made. to the cooker: only the first screen should be replaced in my opinion. the third screen is displayed last for a few seconds, it has no importance, and should be made identical to the second one (the green one) so that no change is noticed.all this, imhobye bye

I like the dark WM6 images. Is it possible to remove the red writing from the boot screen? If not a simple work around may be to use a red coloured boot screen that hides the text.

I think that these splash screens made by Davex are the best from this point of view that they correspond with the visual character of the operating system (everything in green, "watery" icons). I do not say that other splash screens are bad, in fact they look very good, but blue was the colour of WM5 (and XP), black - the colour of MCE and Zune, Vista and WM6 are green. Anyway I opt for Davex #2.

I flashed it to my tornado already and it looks awesome, at least until it shows without the ugly red IU Build text all over it at boot time...

I'm working on a black theme for WM6 too, and hence my splash screen has a lot of black as well....

Also, I vote we let the MS Mobile screen intact, it's nice and make it look more genuine.

some one should ask duke_stix and jm1234567890 (i don't remember the number:D) how to disable this red text...
the bootloader has no problems, i don't find the point of that debug text (until you accidentally burn the flash chip, and in that case debug text would be no help any way! :D )

Here is my current boot screen. It makes it difficult to see the UI TEST text. I'll keep it until the text can be removed from the rom. You can flash it yourself using typhonnbftools.

That's good, I read elsewhere a special tool is developed that will avoid the IU Build Test Only stuff. See the WM6 forum page. I hink you should look into using it.

Also, has anything been decided on the splash screen yet?
I'd honored if mine is choosen but ofcourse anyone can flash the one they like most with Typhoonbftools.
