How to play Worms ?

I tried to play Worms for mobile but i only have one button working, the pad is not responsive... so i can't play :mad:
Is there a solution ?

I tried the metod from Valentin.H's link.
I got the following keycodes:

0xd (13)) center pad
0x72(114) green
0x73(115) red
0x75(117) slider up
0x76(118) slider down
0xC2(194) camera

As you see, the center pad gives some weird code. Don't know why.
I hex'ed the codes into my WWPSave.dat.
But resuts are not exactly satifying.
Green and red buttons are not working.
But at least I managed to remap camera button to shoot, instead of jumping :-)

I guess we just have to wait for a fix, playing at increased difficulty with no jumps. :-)

The phonebuttons and the Centre-D Button don't work in the game
I use the slider buttons for Jump & Backflip and the camera button for Fire.
This works ok for me.
I've edited the dat file to make the slider buttons work in the game.

Just copy the attached WWPSave.dat to you Worms installation folder, overwriting the existing one and you're ready to rumble.

You´re welcome and you´re right, Worms is a great game, but a network multiplayer mode would be nice.

Being overwelmed by the sleek look of the touch, I never realized that we´d run into problems with key assigment for games e.g. Worms.

I tried several programs to create virtual buttons and even reassigned de phone buttons and the slider button, with no success.

Luckily someone else (sorry forgot the name) on this forum informed us of an existing workaround to assign buttons in Worms by using a Hex editor on the savegame file.
Altough the instructions were not totally correct and our phone does have less assignable buttons, I managed to assign the slider button for Jump and Back-Flip.

Enjoy the game.

Yes multiplayer would be perfection !
By the way, if you don't know the game Cavemen, you really should try it, it's a Lemmings-like but better ! You can glide or jump and also the touch screen is matter. Pretty addictive game like Worms with thousands of levels ;)

i cant open the option to edit the keys to use the slider using boogiemans saved file. it closes the game when i try to do this.

That's weird, i can, but it's not a problem at all because you don't need to open that menu, it's useless on the Touch, Boogieman's file is all that matters ;)

Maybe you have a different version.
This config file comes from the 1.0.4 (Retail) Version.
Timestamp WWP.exe: 15-10-2003

You should try installing this version.

I ask this questions because there are more games with the same problem, that require a predefined set of keys, and it would be nice to have a solution you can use over and over again, after some remapping...

I replaced my WWPSave.dat with the file provided and the slider works for jumping but the camera button does not work for firing. Is there any workaround for this? Or how can I manually edit the .dat file to add this? Thanks.

AEBPlus doesn´t work, even with the virtual keys. The virtual keys somehow are not recognized as hardware buttons. I wish the was some kind of small usb or bt game keyboard we could try for some games....

Yes, I've got the 1.04 retail version. I have the Sprint Touch though so maybe that's where the difference lies. Still haven't found a fix for this... the slider works fine but the camera button will map in the options but not work in the game

After replacing the file, it reverts back to the old one once I start playing, for some reason. The blackflip and jump works but I can't fire.

Anytime... Will work on doing diffrent wwpsave files. as far as insight im working on a few ideas why but untell i have enough testing time to figure it out fully i wont comment. Once i can do some more testing *time has not been on my side latley busy busy busy.* Ill post my findings. As for now enjoy worms on your touch. Sorry also for takeing so long to reply as i lost my password and really have not had the time latley.

every setting that you edit disappear and come back to the original one??

Try to set super-sheep or super-banana and then check if they are also when you're playing quick battle mode....

i exactly do this :
Download the file, extract it, copy it to STORAGE CARD, PROGRAM FILES,
WORMS FOLDER and paste it there and it doesnt say anything about overwriting and also it doesnt change anything in the game
