Problems with W100 (wired remote control)

Hi,

Recently bought the W100 to be able to intercept calls while I am listening music. Quality is ok, but the thing fails on me about half of the times.

Symptoms: often the music out is not recognized when plugin in the W100 and the music comes from the builtin speaker
When it is recognized and I have sound via my earplugs, the remote control doesn't function about half of the times...

Very frustrating, anyone else has this problem as well?

I haven't had problems using the W100 directly plugged into the HTC Touch, but I'd like to use it with the HTC Y-cable also, but the W100 doesn't get recognised through it. Nothing no sound, music is played through the in-built speaker...

Hmm... my problem seems to be related to a crappy connection. I hear sound, but controls do not work... Trying to better place the connector, I get either full control, no sound via the headphones or sound via the headphones but no control...

What does this mean? Is the usb connector of the Touch buggy or is it the connector of the W100?

I got a response on the Expansys forum that the W100 is not compatible with the HTC y-connector, if you have them both..friggin useless lot they are.

My remote control doesn't work and yesterday, my bluetooth receiver (Nokia BH 500) locked-up (red-led continously shining, no way to reset the device, opwer-off or anything).

No possibility to listen to music and apparently I am the only one with this problem.

Hi you all...
i've been using the W100 and i have no problems so far its a nice gadget :)
but i dont like that it only workes with the HTC Audio Manager... i'm using conduits pocket player but the W100 will not work with is... does anyone know how to change the settings so that i can use the pocket player with the Remote Control?

Hi all,

I have x2 TyTn ii's... the w100 remote works on one device and not on the other. Does anyone know what the driver is called or what files are needed for the remote? My thinking is if I can find them in the device that works with the remote I can copy & paste.

I am using same Rom & Radio on both devices. I suspect the problem was caused by using the "home plugin uninstaller" The thing is that I have reflashed the suspect device and no joy... tried alternative radios and no joy...

I HAVE DISCOVERED ON THE SUSPECT DEVICE THAT AFTER I POWER UP IF I PLUG IN THE REMOTE IT STARTS THE AUDIO PLAYER AND WORKS PERFECTLY - IF I CLOSE THE APPLICATION ON THE SUSPECT DEVICE THE REMOTE FAILS TO WORK FROM THAT POINT ON...

Would welcome suggestions...
