View Full Version : Qtek 1010 mainboard dead

trying to find parts for my Qtek 1010 and I find it very difficult does this PDA have another technical name? A car charger adaptor for an Ipaq was connected to it although the same connector it is not wired the same so i was tols i killed the mainboard. Is this PDA unrepairable were can i buy a used one?
hope someone can assist my predicament.....Bigdin:( :(

The XDA I (Qtek 1010) and HP iPAQ 22 pin connectors are definitely wired differently.. But a brief connection of the iPAQ one shouldn't do too much damage.. That said.. The old XDAI mainboards are very cheap now (or grab a unit on eBay with a failed scren and DIY it)..
Last time we grabbed a new mainboard it was around $200 for a fully tested / guaranteed one.
Realistically though, it may be time to upgrade to a good, new / cheap little PDA like the HTC Touch..

Your Qtek's battery is probably in need of a replacement.. then there's the PPC 2002 ROM (or the rather flakey cooked ones around)..
