Allright, I've read the majority of the pages in this thread and can't find an answer. This is on a HTC Kaiser and I am new to this.

I've downloaded V1.0 Final and installed it. I also downloaded the add-on package. The customizer opens up fine and I can preview the changes that I am making on the top of the screen but when I try to save the changes I get an error that says:

An error occured copying your selected ***. The program will now continue.

The *** is anything that I tried to change; clock, background, icons...

Also, there are very limited options in the background, weather and icons menus. The clock menu has a lot of options.

What do I need to do?

Hi. I have a problem like this. I upgraded my p3600 with the new original ROM released some days ago and when I installed HHC I notced that everything works well, but I receive the same error message and I CAN'T SEE THE ICONS on my today screen. I have an empty space instead of the usual icons.
Is there someone who can help me?

I just upgraded to 6.1 on my htc touch about a month ago,,, I have been having problems with my phone dial pad randomly showing up after I close various windows... for example I almost always see the phone dial pad pop up everytime I close out of file explorer or install a program... I was not having this problem back on 6.0... After completing a master reset today I finally figured out HHC was the culprit... anyone seen this/know how to fix???

Other than adding more plugins from your Today Screen menu in the settings folder. I don't think it can be done.
I've seen other home screens that have large clocks on them, but it's not the HTC Home.

Sim contacts won't work, so you have to create another contact on the device for the ones you want to use on the tabs.

If you have the HHC installed on your Storage card, it might cause this.

OR

I don't know if you are using the stock home home screen or not. there are problems with using the HHC with it. Below is a copy of a reply I made recently.

If you are going to try this uninstall the HHC first. Then Install the HTC 6 tab and reinstall the HHC. Install them to your device. That's what worked for me.

If you installed to your storage card, that might cause it. Hope you installed the HTC HOME first and then the HHC

Yes, that's what HHC does.
The .net cf 3.5 isn't necessary for the install of HHC. It will work fine with ver2.0. Are you using WM ver 5, 6, or 6.1? I'm no expert, but HHC or .net cf 3.5 might not work with WM 5

One more thing to check

In your Settings/Today/Items menu there should be an item called HTC Home
Make sure that it is "checked" and moved to the top, just below the Date item. You can do this by clicking on the item to highlight it, and then the buttons to move up or down are activated. This is not to be confused with the HTCHomeplug that adds a bar with shortcuts like battery, backlight, etc

Try the cab file that is in post #78 along with the HHC that you have.
There is also a upgrade to WM 6.0 for your phone if you wish to do so. It was posted for a while at ATT and HTC, but has been taken down about a month ago. If you search this forum, you will find it.

Below are screen shots of the Today menu that I was talking about and how my Today Screen looks.
Two things were added that you won't see on your phone: Wireless Today plugin through Kaiser Tweek and Home Screen Plus Plus plugin, both can be found in this forum

My bad, it's post #771, the cab file is at the bottom. It's what you see on my phone in the screenshot.

You can follow the instructions from this link to flash your phone. This was from the WM 6.1 instructions for the Tilt, but the procedure should be the same.

The HTC 6 tab and HHC should be installed to your device, not the storage card. It takes a lot of memory. I'm not that familiar with your phone, but it seems to work on other Touch Cruise/Polaris phones.
Make sure to delete all occurrences of the Apps from the device/Application data folder before reinstalling.
Don't know why the phone would ask you for a pin code if you didn't have one before.
Have you flashed your phone with a cooked ROM or added any third party applications that would change these seettings?
Try looking through the Polaris forums on this site, it is the Generic name of your phone
Lastly, you can try a Hard Reset. I usually install HTC 6 Tab and HTC Home Customizer first. Then Kaiser Tweak, Advance Config and after setting those up, check the operation of the phone. You can continue with other apps after that.

Edit your profile, it would help others to know where your from, phone carrier, phone type,etc.

Ok I use The official ROM 3.13.0.0 with WM 6.1.
I have a lot of free space (60 Mo) and don't use storage card.

If i have understand I must try this tomorow

- remove HHC and HTC plug-in
- remove data in program files
- install plugin V6 (in the phone)
- install HHC (in the phone)

For the pin code bug, when the phone start, the screen appear .... and deseaper before i can press any key ... probably because another application come in first plan.

- S2U2
- S2P
- S2V
- PocketCM keayboard

It's possible that S2U2 might conflict with the HTV customizer since they both modify the Today Screen. Try removing S2U2.
If that doesn't work, all I can suggest is a Hard Reset and re-install the HTC 6Tab and Home Customizer without anything else first and see if they wiil work.
If anyone else reading this thread has any other suggestions, please feel free to jump in:)

It is possible to parameterize the profiles of ringings in the HHC according to our availabilities in l' diary? (I speak about the mode switch-over vibrator as of qu' an appointment is noted like Statut: occupied.)

Because if I put an event over one day whole and free statute, it puts the vibrator to me all the day…. Not cool.

Even thing if I place Rdv for my wife (just like information), with free statute ==> vibrator mode .....

I am nervous as all heck asking this question but I've searched the fora and could not find the answer so I'm hoping someone can help. If I've overlooked something please point me in the right direction.

I used the HHC1.0Final on my original ATT ROM with the n2a patch and used it to set a custom city for the weather tab and it used to work fine. I recently updated to 6.1 and installed Dutty's last ROM (Official WM6.1 5.2.19209 Release). I installed the sdkcerts from the n2a patch instructions but the htchome.dll patcher does not work on the htchome.dll file that comes with dutty's rom.

Now I can't seem to use any cities that I manually enter into the city database. For example, a city in the default database will show up just fine and data will download. With custom settings, any city that I select through the search city function (North America and Canada are not included) also works fine. However, when I manually enter a US city in the custom database, it will not work at all. All I get is a "Unable to retrieve data for selected city. Select here to retry."

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

HHC is now v1.0 Final and this version of the program is seriously outdated. Some functions do not work at all. Please visit www.pocketemu.com to download an updated version of HHC. This information is left here for archival purposes only and should be considered obsolete.

I am facing a problem with HTC Home with the height of Title Row (Showing Name of Mobile Service Provider and Date) and the row showing number of Unread Email, SMS and Missed Calls. Both the rows are not completely visible. Height of those rows are getting cut.

As I am beginer with HTC Home, It would be great if I can get some expert help from you guys. Is there any way to resolve the problem.

As you can see in the quoted text in post #808 this app has been around for a while. It was made for TytnII's, Kaisers, Tilts, etc. Al of which have a different screen size that your Touch Pro. I also believe your
phone uses a different video format - VGA vs QVGA.
Your attached Screen Shot never made it to your post. Click on the little paper clip in the message box when replying to upload attachments
There might be several alternatives developed for newer phones, search the forums. Hope I was able to help:)

Hi, you guys have the same problem - by the way: me too.....


HHC is not working with QVGA Versions! Diamond, Touch and Touch Pro have different DispResolutions than the Kaiser - if the Homescreen is like "compressed" (not all Lines proper visible) the HHC works - as soon as you use a version that is visibly ok, the HHC doesn´t function completely anymore; only some of the options, not related to graphics can be used then.

I hope some solution for this ist somewhere in a pipeline to come.....

Not sure about the newer phones, but it worked on my HTC Touch/Vogue before I flashed to WM6.5. Now I have it running on both my HP iPAQ 2415(flashed to WM6.1) and my Samsung i760. The Combination of HTC Home (from a HTC Home cab I found here) and HTC Home Customizer really gives new life to both of these "older" devices.:)
