Today screen radio device toggler + discover mode

update: Have added a discoverable toggle to this guy.
1 click = on, 2nd = discoverable, 3rd = off

Also changed the name to EffComm so it's all the same across the board.

Still looking into adding eyecandy.. Does anyone know a nice and simple graphics library for C++ mobile that will load PNG files with alpha channel or something similar ??

Installed okay on the Dopod D810 but where do I find the program to actually run it or enable it in Settings > Today > Items??

congratz, will recommend this on other forums, personally i prefer wm5newmenu's submenu with vijay555's soft like vjvolubilis, vjbluetoggle, vjphonetoggle etc... but your plug is neat :)
maybe it is possible to add all things from commgr? heh, it would be NICE.

btw, could you align "phone:ON/off" position to the right? this free space for "f" is hm, ugly.

Thanks, I can see it in Settings > Remove programs but cannot find it in my Programs menu, Today screen nor under Program Files on the device or Storage Card.

I am going to try a reinstall...

If I send files via bluetooth, i can do it with activate bt first

I have a directory \Storage Card\Program Files\Today Radio Device Toggler\ which contains one file 'EffComm.dll'

I also have the above registry entries with the following values set:

Enabled = 0x0 (0)
Options = 0x0 (0)

type = 0x4 (4)

Also, under Settings > Today > Items I only have the following:

You can change the Enabled entry to 1 but it still should show up in the today list either way :(

How strange! Oh well at least it works now :)
To turn it off you just need to click it again... the 2nd click now switches your BT to discoverable mode.

when using it as a plug-in in spb mobile shell, to have the status eg., wi-fi=on to update automatically? currently, i have to 'collapse' or 'hide' the drop-down from the today screen mobile shell then tap it again to re-appear in order to get an updated status.

This is a very nice piece of software, big thanks for developing same. Have some issues though on using it on my PPC with Wisbar Advanced Desktop installed. When I turn it on it looks like font is too big therefore all BT WiFi and Phone are overlaping ie they are written each on another.

Is there any way to solve this?

Nice little plugin. Very helpfull in turning my phone into a completely touchable device and letting me access everything from the home screen :) ... only bug i see so far is the device doesn't register the plugin if its installed on the storage card.

If you're open to suggestions, how about adding an options ability to be able to change the size of the item on the today screen.

Since I installed it (HTC X7500 WM06) I noticed a battery drain issue. I installed Batti 2.1 too...So I have removed first EffComm app to test if it solves the problem...did someone occure in the same issue?

Can I only suggest some improvements?

a) Showing the waitCursor while turning on/off would be userful
b) By reading this forum, some people would like icons, some people not. Adding a mouse press menu where choose to show/not show icons could be a solution.
c) Finally i think that some people could find useful to change plugin font/background colors to get it more like the WM theme they're using.

Anyway, a real useful plugin! Thanks for your effort.

In ON mode you're not discoverable from other devices.

First I wanted to say thank you this app is indespensable. you are awesome. Thank you! I have a request that would make this as close to perfect as possible. Could you please add a lock button. no matter where I place it on the screen at times I find myself hitting one of the buttons and turning them on or off when its not intentional. just a request but otherwise its perfect. thanks again.

Really like this plug-in. Couple of comments:

1. The correct spellings of the following are:
"Bluetooth"
"Wi-Fi"

2. Any chance this could be made into a scriptable app, similar to VJVolubilis? (for some reason VJV isn't able to toggle wireless on my phone [E-TEN x650]).

This would also help satisfy people's desire for eye-candy.

there's a lot of apps that have traylaunch as a secondary thing, but then u gotta have thier full app to use it. i really like your's is simple and straight to the point. if only it can be in the traylaunch.

Same issue for me in case of restart of soft-reset, but nice plugin.

I like this plug-in, but would like it more if it has the following features:

1. Make Bluetooth toggle configrable. (On/Off, or On/Discover/Off). I never use my phone in discover mode yet.

2. It would be great if A2DP toggle can be added. Thus users can control theaudio stream sending to bluetooth headphone in the same place as controling bluetooth radio. Right now I have to install Teksoft A2DPToggle and this plugin to do the task.

the most immediate need is a lock on the line so once u switch to desired mode you can't accidently hit the wrong function. I can't tell you how many times I accidently turned the phone radio off and didn't know it. I missed imprtant calls. not good.. I must say besides the 1 flaw this is amust have app.

nice app. however it doesn't even run on wm2003, as soon as i click the "Items" tab (see attach), my Magician freeze and will only recover after a soft-reset.
