View Full Version : Help with serial Screen

I have a 6515a on Cingular. The device will turn on and show the Cingular logo with the numbers 1.12 at the bottom. It will then proceed to start the windows calibration screen. You can go throught the calibration followed by the load of the cingular software screen at the begining. When the device resets to start after the load, it goes straight to the HP logo screen where it says "Serial" at the top, followed by "v. 021" at the bottom of the screen.

I have read every thread in this section and no one has had a problem anywhere near mine. I have tried the button press of Power+CAM+joystick+reset, but it still returns to the "serial" screen.

I was wondering if I could just re-flash it some how, and then be albe to use it?

The first three of my IMEI is 357 if that helps any.

you will need to freflash your device with the lastest rom of cingular (search it in hp.com)

I have tried to using the HP Ruu utility, but it will only work after trying to verify that the device is what it needs to be. Since it can not check it to verify it, the device fails and will not proceede. Will or should any of the flash utilities here work with the HP .nbf flash files?

The only thing that I can find on the beetles is http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Beetles I have not been able to find the beetle_ruu. Can you possibley point me in the correct direction? or maybe tell me where I can Download it from?

I appreciate all of your help.

and download the package6515rom
there is the file on the hp bluetooth exe unzip and extract the beetle_ruu
