K. Did this last night. Not bad. Pretty. Has lots of stuff i'll probably never use (windows live). Still no picture text messaging. I am having problems reloading my old apps and games though.

There is a hack for MMS using a Apache 6700 cab. However, I could not upload the cab to this site. search around and you'll find it.
BTW, I like the Canadian htc 6800 better. I wonder if it would work on the Sprint Network.

It's doesn't work with Telus, we need the MMS server name.

I've just upgraded a Telus P4000 to WM6 Telus posted on their site and it appears that the ROM is missing the internet share app. There is no icon for it as there was in WM5 and the Executable is not present in the win32 directory.
Is this a bad a ROM or perhaps the missing files can be found somewhere?

Anyone looking to upgrade their Telus P4000 from WM5 to WM6, please read the following thread:
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/please-read-before-upgrading-telus-to-wm6-t7238.html
This can really help with rom development, but we can only get it from a P4000 running WM5 right now.

K. I phoned Telus claiming that a 3rd party app screwed up my phone and that i needed the info for setting up my SMS. She said that she wouldn't give me the info. Figured as much but i had to try. The info we need is in a .dll on the phone as sms_providers.dll but i cant copy or move it. Any ideas on how to view the dll or get the info off of it. Theres alot of push for this info on other forms too.

I messed up my Telus v3c trying to seem edit it so that I can add third party mms servers. I lost the Telus mms server and had to add it back in manually but I had no idea what the address of it was. So I poked around the phone with BitPim and found it:

Good luck.

I am using the TELUS P4000 and the WM6 upgrade worked like a charm.
No problem with voice calls, SMS, and even Direct Mail from my company Exchange server.
Thanks for a great find.

K. I really hope someone gets this workin. I had a little chat with someone with Telus bout mms. He said that he couldn't tell me much. He did say that the mms doesn't really have a ip address. He did say it had a G.W. sub i.d. 4421574. Not sure what that means or how we can use this info. Anyone know anything bout this?

just out of curiosity, does upgrading void the warranty?
