just ran the unlocking program from GSM Liberty. how can i tell if my phone is unlocked?

Seems what they provided is only SIM unlock but not CID unlock.
To test for SIM unlock, just place a SIM with other operator to see if you can make a call.
To test for CID unlock, flash any OS-only RUU to see if the OS actually changes.

For your Wizard sake read and then use the tool, you have to use "CID Actions" button, then hit Go when "Read CID block" pop up appears.

Ah...yes this tool can show CID, however I can't use that, the program just wait forever...

Why didn't you report that in its thread? I'd really like to know if there's something to be fixed.
Please go there and post that issue along with the steps and device specs.
