Ever since upgrading to WM6, I have lost the ability to turn cold boot my phone without first removing the SD card. If I have the SD card inserted, I get rebooting loops. Can I fix this?

I'm pretty sure it's been fixed for the official HTC release of WM6, but not positive. The other way to fix it would be to use SKTools Lite to clear the duplicates out of the notification queue and then remove the Microsoft Live service from the registry. You'll lose the Microsoft Live messenger, but you'll gain your phone back :)

yep merwin has written the solution in detail in 2 other threads, just search for boot loop in the excalibur forum.

Sure enough, just delete this:
HKLM\Services\Windows Live
And now I am booting fine!
I still get the little Text message about the wrong number, but I can live with that.

Try removing the My5 shortcut from the c:\windows\startup folder

Total Commander won't let me. How'd you do that?

Oh, the key is to Move it rather than delete.
And this fixed the problem. Thanks!
Now I have a perfectly functioning Dash.
But am still pining a bit for the Blackberry Curve...

Rename file. Soft reset. Delete file.
