Didnt see this thread... good to see some car entusiasts here. :D

I have an '04 Lexus GS300. Nav/Lev package, loaded. Thats my daily driver, and I have a project car, '99 Saab 9 3 SE. Been restoring for several months now. 4-Cyl Turbo FTW...

well my integra isnt that much of a ricer i guess because I couldnt check to0 many of those little boxes...

what it is, is a 2000 Acura Integra GSR with a d18 v-tec motor, cold air intake and cat back magnaflow exhaust.

Exterior: wings west big mouth body kit, extreme dimensions custom vented from fenders, custom paint job.

It also has an eibach lowering kit with upper front and rear strut bars.

its not really a ricer and it is fact, pretty fast.

d18?

you mean b18 i hope....d series are from older hondas pre 1990, like a 89 crx has a d16, and most (if not all maybe) are single-cam

and hopefully its j-spec if you swapped, unless its the stock GSR then its a b18

D series motors were in production all the way up until 2006 (with the D17 varieties), when Honda finally decided to replace the aging D-Series platform. You're right, though, in that I've never seen a twin cam D-Series. The V-TEC models were all single cam, as far as I know.

And slow. Just like my '00 Civic. Putt putt.

After i wrote this i realized i was wrong, i forgot about the newer d series single cams (garbage) my friend had a 96 DX and it was slow as shit

and yea there are no twim cam d series blocks

the single cam V-TEC are slow as well, a little better then non v-tec but not worth any upgrades except maybe a 50 shot lol

I had a crazy sleeper 89 CRX Si JSPEC B18 GSR swap with a B16 JSPEC trans, skunk2 cams and camgears, custom retainers and valve springs, greddy headers and full Ti-C custom mounted exhaust, cheap hi-flow intake (still worked jsut as good as any other lol), HONData ECU tweaked out...nothing done to the bottom end though...but dyno's at 236hp to the wheels...

it was a sleeper cuz i did nothing to the exterier, it was primered Black with 3 rust holes in the drivers side door lol...but it sounded SOOOOOO NICE...i used to love pulling up to people and they would look at it and laugh, then I would shit on them haha...b16 trannys are sooo nice i loved the short gears with all the power the GSR put out

All Hondas are slow. When someone says "my Civic is so fast", he really means "my Civic is so much faster than the other Civics I've been racing". I had a guy with a non-vtec prelude (91 i think?) challenge me to a race in my Z... Integras galore, stock 1991 Integra LS 4 door with 225k miles that thinks he can smoke a twin turbo Z. Honda owners are undeniably the dumbest of all enthusiasts I've met.

I'm a Honda owner, but I don't consider myself to be a Honda enthusiast. My Civic is my commuter car, fuel efficient and reliable.

I used to own a '96 300ZX (as well as on old '90 Stanza that passed on), black on black twin turbo. Loved it to death, died when it had 214k on it, sent a rod through the bottom of the block. Motor would have cost more than the car was worth, so I parted it out.

Nowadays, I'm all diesel. '07 Silverado crew cab, 3500HD, Duramax all the way. Nothing like over 600lbs of torque under your foot! Stays in the garage mostly these days with the cost of diesel, more like the weekend-take-the-family-out-or-haul-stuff-truck. ;)

Yes, well that's a big difference, Honda driver or Honda enthusiast. If you need to get to work and back 5 days a week with a long commute, there's nothing better than a Honda for gas mileage and reliability IMO. However, putting a fart can, cold air intake and headers onto a 1.8L 4 banger does not make you fast.

Not True. Most stock honda are slow (with the exception of S2000 and NSX) compared to other High end imports, but with the proper mods any honda can be very fast...like my old CRX I mentioned above...

Mind you Hondas are light, for example my CRX was roughly 1700 lbs. with me in it, and 236HP moving that is very quick, plus the correct traction and trans i had a fun ride

i could keep up with a 300zx twim maybe through 3rd or 4th gear, but the top end would of murdered me

but I will agree with you that a lot of people likee to put an intake, cat-back exh. and a giant wing and body kit on there 94 civic and say its fast lol

Not all honda drivers are dumb, jsut most of them..

also, my friend had a 90 CRX Si with an JSPEC H-22 block in it (took 3-4 weeks to do spending 4-5 hours a day! at the time they didnt have h-series mount for a crx, they do now...) and that was quick, 220 HP stock on the motor...

Haha well, if you're going to completely redesign the body, it doesn't matter what you start with. My point is, if you put lipstick on a pig it's still a pig. You can make cars like my Z faster than Ferrari's, but if you take the same parts and put them into a Ferrari you'd be pretty close to a space shuttle.

Plus, his car is WWD, Wrong Wheel Drive.

Hate to tell you this but your more than a little wrong my friend. My car is a speed6 not the normal6 it came turbo charged with all wheel drive from the factory and was already pretty fast to begin with I had it to 150 before beginning the mods....might give you more than a run for your money on some nice twistys.:p

Haha, it's front wheel drive, you couldn't keep with a Z at all especially off the line. When a car takes off its weight transfers back, which means OFF of your driven wheels. That's why the SRT-4 fanboys are all OH MAN I CAN SPIN THROUGH 4TH GEAR... And that's why I'm there to say, "yes idiot, that's a bad thing". And as for it weighing 1700 pounds with you, the lightest CRX from factory was 1819 curb, so I guess you did some weight reduction. Regardless of the weight of the car, FWD cars will always understeer more than RWD, so if you wanted to take it to a road course it'd be no contest... No more, I don't want to get into this debate. Hondas are slow, making them quick doesn't make them fast.

Ohhh, damn that thing's expensive. I drove one around an autocross course for a few hours, wasn't all too impressed. For a family sedan it's quick, but didn't blow me away.

Give me more than a run for my money on a track? Seriously? Recant your statement before I throw down the mods list.

Except for the fact that there are plenty of cars out there (none that I can afford) that do 0-60 in under 3.8... But other than that, nothing has a chance.

For the record...

Veyron: 4100 lbs, 0-60 in 2.9

OK you are right about front wheel drive, ever heard of Limited Slip Differential though? My CRX had a B16 LSD trans, so spinning though gears was not somthing it did...

and I never said I could beat your Z, but in a pro race, I could "keep up" through 3rd gear im sure of that, as soon as I shift to 4th you would be long gone, the low end b16 trans made for more torque traction and the short gears and LSD made it launch

and yes i pulled all the interier stuff, carpets, rear half seat etc. all the head parts were lightened, and various other shit i removed, the b16 trans are lighter, the b18 blcok is heavier but not by much, plus light weight rims and all made it to be 1700 roughly

and not all Hondas are FWD you know that! just the ones everyone likes to work on lol

This is a great Thread. I've had many cars. But in April this year I found my dream. 1997 Lincolin Towne Car. I used to rent this for special events when I had my Florist shop in DC. Love the ride of this car. So well made and love the heavy build and can use regular gas unlike my 2005 Buick Lucirne. Sold that, however was a GREAT car. But I love my TC.

The only Hondas (besides CRX and the like) that aren't front wheel drive are also the only Hondas I would ever consider owning. The S2000 is RWD, as is the NSX, and they're both very nice cars. The NSX is grossly overpriced at $94k when it stopped coming to the states, but regardless of that, it's a hell of a lot of fun to drive.

I already said what I drive, but you're correct, the thread is what do you drive, not what do you ride. Sorry, bikes don't qualify, bye.
Lets grow up.
Lets not analyze the title about if you drive a car or you drive a bike...
You need a license to drive & operate both of these.

I do believe he was the one that analyzed the title and applied it to my statement, if he's going to go word for word on the thread title I think we should apply it to both sides. Am I wrong in thinking this, or is hypocrisy an accepted policy?

ZeeZee, regarding your decision: I can honestly say having big bikes and little ones, the BEST fun i've ever had on a bike was a Yamaha R1-Z (this is not the "R1" we all know and love). This is a little 250 2stroke and was incredible fun. So "chuckable" and sounded like a scooter.

Looking at your choices, if thats what your going to stick to, then take them both out for a ride first but defo look at the "chuckability" in the corners :D

Bwah hah hah hah hah hah hah.....

First of all, anyone that owns a car with 800hp wouldn't post a 0-60. Secondly, whoever spent the money on all that body cladding should run in front of a train.

So if you own this car, what's your 60 ft? 1/8th? 1/4? What's your RWTQ? What turbo(s), injection, meth kit?

Looks like a FnF car.... Supras can move out if done right, but that 0-60 time means your 60 ft is most likely horrible for an "800 hp" car. My car with less hp will drag that down the 1320 sideways.

PS... love the 8' wing http://smiliesftw.com/x/turbopuke.gif Does it have mad neons and 10,000 watts of bass? Oh... and let us not forget the flame kit on the exhaust

Well its been awhile since I posted about my car 2006 mazdaSpeed6. Well I blew it up sent a rod through the block......it happens . So I have been collecting parts (thank god I have something else to drive) to get ready to go ahead and build it.
Parts on car,VEI Boost,Wideband AFR,EGT,Oil pressure,Oil and water temp gauges and Dashawk,TWM stg2 short shifter,WOT box for launch control and wot shifting,CP-E StandBack(for tuning) w/fuel controller(for the meth)although I may be switching to either the COBB Accesspost w/ATR or AEM controller,Corksport FMIC and 88mm exhaust,Ron Davis Racing Radiator,TurbineTech Front motor and rear differential mounts,AWR passenger driversside and rear MM,Spin-on oil conversion kit,AutoExe front and rear sway bars,Autoexe endlinks,SPC adjustable balljoints,BC Racing coilovers,Rotora D/S brake discs with H2 ceramic brakepads,HKS SSQV blow off valve,HKS twin ignition,NGK 2 step colder plugs,Fiber Images vented hood and Konig Hot Swap wheels......I might have missed a part or 2.

A list of the parts I have gotten so far for the build, new short block,LaBonte meth system,Saiku Michi OCC,Turbonetics T3/T4 hybrid Turbo,Perrin EBCS,Tial 38mm external wastegate, custom fabbed top mount exhaust manifold and screamer pipe along with DP,Spec 3+ clutch and Fidanza lightweight flywheel, ported and polished Intke manifold.

Parts and things left to do, forged pistons (not sure which yet),Pauter forged rods,ARP head studs, need to send the head off to get a port and polish job done, gasket set and bearings and seals.Vivid secondary PI fueling system and possibly their sheet metal intake they are developing....and anything else I can think of so it might take a while as I'm in no hurry.

I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4.7l V8.

It's been converted to run on LPG, which costs me half the price of petrol making it quite cheap to run.

Currently my local station sells petrol at £1.09 per litre which is nearly £5.00 a gallon. (incidentally, i think that's about $8.00 a gallon!

Gas is 50.9 pence a litre which is £2.31 per gallon.

Luvin it!!

Unfortunately my Jeep Cherokee had to go, even with cheaper LPG it was just way too expensive to run.

So now i drive a fire engine red Ford Fiesta Diesel. How does 62mpg, and £35 a year road tax grab ya?

I also have a 1994 Triumph Daytona and a 1990 Kawasaki ZZR600 too.

Might have to let the Daytona go soon though, as it's a bit tall for me and a bit of stretch to the bars.

Prefer the ZZR for weekly use.

It's horrible when your car fails and you just feel your pockets getting lighter and lighter. I usually get a figure in my head and think, "It'll never be more than that!" I'm usually wrong.

So true. I'm not too disappointed though, as my plan is to keep this for another year when i'll have the $$ to buy my next decent car. This is at least reliable for now and will see me through the next twelve months.

Good luck with yours when the time comes. Hope it sails through! :)

Thank you! Well, pretty much everything that is on it was installed by the previous owner. The springs are Tein H-Tech's. I like the way it sits and the ride is still rather nice...I don't auto-x so I don't think I'll upgrade them. It had an AEM CAI on it, but I live in an area that gets high water when it rains so I just put the stock one back on. It has a 3" downpipe to a 3" exhaust and a custom uppipe that needs welded :\. Also running the stage 2 map on a Cobb Accessport.

Plan on setting up to run E85 then getting a pro tune...then future future plans is to upgrade the turbo.

Actually... The only trouble I have with the 5 0 is that my headlamps are too high. I have been to court and have won over bumper height tickets. I know the law on that inside and out, unfortunately, and have been pulled over in the most random places. As far as fuel mileage, 13mpg isn't so bad.

The only other thing to worry about is _______________ drivers like this one: (I'll let you fill in the blank haha)
