i have upgraded a few before

used Olipro's tool, flash SPL, then unlock / CID unlock

flash using file from xda

but this particular unit, HTC branded

everything goes smooth, except when trying to flash WM6, it will get stuck at 1% and then give communcation error.

i can flash back to original HTC rom OR dopod rom, proving CID is indeed unlocked but it just won't flash WM6..

what can be wrong ?

nevermind

used ATHENA_WM6_Flasher instead of ATHENA_X7500_WM6_Flasher and it worked

Hi,
I'd the same problem and i found that it stops when it is updating GPS, the rom you've used doesn't have the GPS update, could you please check if the GPS works with the WM6 now or not! mine isn't working even if i downgrade to WM5 .. Wifi is acting strange as well ..

everything seems fine

GPS not working could be related to when using unlocker - step 3

the radio rom is incharge of GPS / wifi / i believe, flashing with original WM5 should fix it if anything

i did double check that STEP 3 is done successfully, and it does work and it confirms that the phone is SIM/CID unlocked, if i try to flash the WM5 rom with the it stops at the GPS part! could it be bad blocks in the NAND or so!

i did try to flash using the Tmob 1.2 DE version that is the only T-mobile Wm5 around, it has the same problem, stopping when updating the SIRFBoodloader.nb, and the error 00018003 in red at the top of the screen that when i use the SD for updating, updating through the cable/windows gives me a communication error... i called HTC asking them for support they forwarded me to the maintenance section and they don't answer there phone .. sh***T

Don't think that's gonna work if flashing took place before unlocking...but I could be wrong. Hope so. Good luck.;)

I unlocked, had problems at step 2 (black screen), upgraded to AP3, reboot cycle, got that fixed, upgraded to AP4 and everything is good but no GPS. I'm sure it has to do with the unlock process not completing.

How do I flash just the GPS portion?

What is your radio version. AP4 needs 1,50 or greater. if this is the case upgrade the radio to 1.50 ot 1.57 which is available in this forum.
