I've been trying remove the CID lock from my Qtek 8310 so I can get a successful WM6 flash to the phone.
The device was already SIM unlocked. And this was confirmed by changing the registry entries 1001, 1005 and then copying CERT.CAB from SPV Services onto the device and installing it successfully.
Running SPV_Services confirms the SIM lock state as unlocked. When I click in 'CID Lock (alpha)' though, it reads the settings and gives me a button to press 'Set CID=11111111'. When I press this, I immediately get the error message 'Illegal WriteZone Patch Attempt' and can get no further. The device is still CID locked.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Straker
