Hello!

I have two questions for u:
1)Do you think that you can make same ROM, but with the OS in English? (for those people that don't speak Japanese)

2)I have normal English rom with Japanese input package installed (IME_31J_QVGA_F.cab). Bu default, it always use japanese input in Hiragana. Maybe you can let me know how to change this default to Japanese input in Romanji.

Thanks!

Could you please try the below ROM? It has English user interface with Japanese input and read capability. Also, the default SIP is not Japanese.

It is based on dopod official release.

Sounds good ;) Can you tell me the thread where his ROM came from? I need more information before flashing (^-^)

Anyway, thank you very much!

It was cooked by me. The base ROM is in the below thread.

If you have preference of base ROM, please let me know. I'll be able to cook it.

htakahasyd5,

How about cooking the DopodLite ROM, and take out Arcsoft MMS from the ROM while you're cooking it?

Hi auyongtc,

How do you want to cook? Do you need only to remove the MMS? No Softbank connection?

Hello!

I'm sure you know better than me what ROM is better (between Black lite, Sheutl's or Schap lite). If it's cooked for Softbank, want Is most important for me is to be fast (that's the reason Oficial Dopod is not the best option) and good A2DP (not sure want is better; now I have Sheutl's one, and It don't work very good). I think Black lite should be better option, but not sure.

Really thanks a lot.

I have vp3G's 3.0 rom on a Cingular 8525. How do I make it so I can do Japanese input? Also, is it possible to make it so Opera or PIE can read Japanese too?

Because I don't mind "speed", I like dopod official because of "stability". I'm currently testing Black Satin medium, but it looks less stable than dopod official, which I posted last night. I've never tried A2DP.

If you want to cook by yourself, below link should be a great help.
http://d.hatena.ne.jp/ratnapura/

By using the "customizer" distributed in the above link, you can add Japanese. I've never used opera, but I'm sure that you can read Japanese in PIE as well as other software on WM6.

Umm, I'm reading and Satin seems unstable ... almost everybody prefer Schap lite. I just dislike the blue theme. Just this one with Softbank support (and if possible other theme) should be perfect ;)

Thank you for the help. Is there any way to have Japanese input and be able to read Japanese without cooking a rom? I have no idea. Tried reading Asukal's guide but I didn't understand it..

*EDIT* Sesaru, Do I need to install all 3 of those programs for it to work?

@oldominion,
Sleuth's SIPChange may be what you are looking for. It is a big program, but it seems to do the job. It enables you to change your default SIP to whatever you want - i.e. the regular english keyboard.

@sesaru,
This might work for you too, but I don't think it is exactly what you are looking for. Give it a try and see if you are satisfied.

Edit: here is the link to Sleuth's SIPChange thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=271008

larsuck, thank you again for the help. Seems like the SIP changer worked just fine :)

*EDIT* The font on my phone has changed from installing Lets Japan. Any way to get this back to the normal system font? It effects some things badly. Also, the default system SIP is the English keyboard but it changes to Japanese when I use Opera or other browsers.. Any ideas? Sorry for my ignorance!

Quite good. Incredible fast! I love it. But If want to make a ROM that that don't need extra configuration for Softbank users, there're some things to fix:
-Input: This rom have English Input, because have "Keyboard" SIP by default. By the good option is have "Roma/Kana" by default, and then have "Romanji" option (not Hiragana, the default one). This is what I'm really looking for. Even is better to remove "Keyboard", because is redundant. The reason is because if you want to write in Hiragana, you have to take stylus, change from "Keyboard" to "Roma/Kana", and it's quite unnoying. I can't fix because SIPChange let me change to "Roma/Kana", but not change the options for it.
-Pocket IE: Work, but not Yahoo! Keitai. No FIX.

Any help? If you know how to do it, please share here ;)

-Autocomplete is gone if you install Japanese fonts. No way to come back (only if you deinstall fonts).
-Fonts: you can deinstall the package and I suppose fonts will come back, but not sure. Anyway, if you increase the size of the fonts (settings >> screen) they'll look quite good again ;)
-Opera: no idea, sorry.

This would be ideal for me too. I'm trying out different things to see if they work and I'm looking around the registry to see if there is anything in there.

*EDIT* Found a post here with a program called KBD Switch (post # 63) that switches your IME from English AutoComplete to Japanese IME, but you have to soft-reset every time.. You can place the program anywhere (says Windows/Startup but it actually doesn't matter) and just click the program. It will automatically switch it, then soft reset. If you have it on English AutoComplete, then you cannot write Japanese until you change it back. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298919&page=7
Also, to change your system font back to the original English one, edit the registry [HKLM/nls/SystemLCID = 409] The number is usually 411 for Japanese, 409 is English. It can still read and write Japanese.
Still no idea on how to make the default keyboard the Romaji in English option.. :(

Hello,

About fonts, I don't have problems wih my actual ones, so I won't change.

Abouy "KBD Switch", I remember that program; we used that in the past. You don't have make a soft reset. You just have to assign to a physical key, start a program, press it to change, then close the program and start the program again ... anyway, I don't miss autocomplete, and this is not what I'm looking for.

hi all..

i`ve one question here..

when i used rom with intergrated sms/mms, mmslite acc will be named as MMS when i delete the arcsoft in registry n install mmslite..but the one with seperated sms n mms will make mmslite became MMS1 eventhough i deleted arcsoft in registry..so when i make a backup for mms n restore it to different rom(seperated sms/mms and integrated sms/mms) it doesn`t restore the mail..btw i`m using ppcpimbackup 2.5..

so the question is is there any way/chance i can restore mms mail from MMS1 acc to MMS or MMS acc to MMS1?..

hopefully there is a way to make it..:(

pls somebody..
thanks..

Hello htakahasyd5:) ,

Did you modify Schap's WM6 Pro 3.54b multilanguages ROMs for Japanese?
If you did it, could you upload the Japanized ROM?
Or have you uploaded it on #1 yet?
If so, could you tell me which ROM is Schap's WM6 Pro 3.54b ROM?
