Hermes / Dopod 838 Pro: WM6 Upgrade Serious Radio Issue in Mainland China

Guys,

Mentioned elsewhere in the Forum, but as I've had to navigate posts for the last 3 hours, here goes the executive summary:

i) Upgraded my Dopod 838 Pro to WM6, with the upgrade offered in the Dopod HK Web Site.

ii) Not that I really wanted to, but was dead tired of alarm issues with WM5, so, what the heck.

iii) Flashing went Ok.

iv) Have a China Mobile SIM.

v) After upgrading, unable to receive INCOMING CALLS. Network said caller was "not available". What the heck, my fault for taking the risk.:mad:

vi) Have downgraded Radio to 1.41 and works flawlessly. DO NOT use anything above 1.41, until they come with an update.

I have the same problems. But a little different

I'm upgraded to Officical Dopod WM6 (CHT) I can received call when the phone is standby mode. But I can't received call when the phone is on (Screen on, even not doing anything.)

Do you guys know, if I downgrade to WM5, will it have any technical problems with that? (I've read some threads said that, after you upgraded to WM6, can't downgrade to WM5, I dunno it's truth or not.)

i'm using the official tiawanese version for 2 days now, everything works perfect. have u tried that one?

Me also never experience any problem at all, that shouldn't related to OS rom , should be issue related to your radio rom.
