with my erratic u key...thought they might swap.

and if I flashed a rom, could I/should I flash their latest update over it before sending it in?

1 year from date of purchase, may be a safe bet to flash the original rom.

The rep said water damage or dents void warranty....what about rom changes?

I just sent mine in a few weeks back for replacement, It had Black 3.0 on it and they never said anything to me about it. I was worried about this too, but before I sent my 8525 in, I called and asked if 3rd party software would void the warrentee, they said no. Just physical damage, or water damage.
