My car stereo has a USB adapter to play mp3s on a usb flash drive, and it has an ipod connector. No bluetooth or AUX input. Is there anyway to stream music from my 8525 without having to buy an ad2p stereo? What I am looking to do is stream internet radio with GSPlayer.

thanks in advance

I'm kind of in the same boat. I purchased one of these,(VRFM8B - MP3/WMA FM Modulator) located on this page http://www.roadmasterusa.com/fmmod_vr3.php. I figured, heck, it's got a USB port, so why couldn't I stream my music through this from phone, since this is the same port the headphones use. No dice though, just a bunch of noise. Oh well, guess it was worth a shot.

It would be nice if it the Hermes could be recognized as a USB Mass Storage device :( If that were the case, you'd be able to do it. Other suggestion to try would be to get a micro sD reader and try plugging it into the stereo. That way you'd still have all the music with you. BUT, if you're like me, taking that micro sD card out is like shooting the phone.

That makes sense to me. So there is no way to make it respond as a mass storage device? Oh well, it was worth a shot. Thanks for the reply. :)

Softick makes a product for wm5/6 called Card Export. It lets you set your microsd card as a mass storage device. Probably will work for what you are wanting.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to give the prog a try on my lunch break. My hunch is that this will work with the native controls on the FM Modulater (Play, Rewind, etc...), but I probably can't control it through the Windows Mobile interface such as Audio Manager. I'll report back after testing. Thanks again!

Well, nevermind, that didn't work. The program will not run correctly in WM6 on the 8525. Keep getting errors after installing. Anyone else know of a similar program?

Thanks for the tip. I tried that prog too, and still no dice. I guess I give up. I sure was hoping I could just use the phone as an MP3 player in my car, but guess I'll just have to get a dedicated MP3 player or a bluetooth deck and stream them, or just do nothing at all. Tired of spending money on this junk! :)

WM5torage requires that the "Enable advanced network functionality" flag is turned off on the "USB to PC" tab under "settings, connections". Did you turn that off?

I believe I did, but I could be mistaken. I finally just gave up on the whole idea. Just seemed like to much trouble. Thanks anyways for the reply.
