Hi

I have an T-Mobile MDA III (German, I think the same model Buzz has/had) with a cracked LCD display.

From what I can pick up on these boards I need the following LCD replacement:

Sony ACX502BMV-7 - however, the board I have received from a supplier on eBay is the following: Sony ACX502BMU-7518J11D, 60H00015-01, designed for a Dopod 700.

Before I open the packaging, can anyone tell me if this part is suitable for my MDA III.

Its been broken for some time now and I want to get it going again now that I am feeling better and ready for WM5.

Reply most appreciated.

Kindest regards

Janeway

Hi LGSilva, unfortunately not that simple, there is more than one lcd screen for the BA, I just need to know if the LCD model quoted will work with my unit.

The Dopod 700 is certainly one of the many HTC clones, but some of the units have slightly different specs etc including different LCD displays/boards etc.

If anyone knows for sure, please let me know.

If the second part number "60H00015-01" on your new screen is the same on the WIKI then probably it isn't it.

60H00015-01 Sony ACX502BMU ipaq 4355 3.5" LCD 240x320
60H00018-00 Sony ACX502BMV HTC Blueangel 3.5" LCD 240x320

Thanks for your thoughts LGSilva - kinda thought the same but was hoping maybe someone had tried and succeeded ;)

Ah well, it'll have to go back at least I didn't open the package.

Hi Jos - hope you have the right screen for your Qtek 9090 ;)

Here's a link, complete with some pics: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=DIS_BA_PICS

Best of luck, just be careful not to break anything, some of the parts are quite easy to break from what I've heard.

Hey Jos, glad to hear it all went well.

My pda's in bits at the moment awaiting a new LCD and screen.

Weather not so good here, though it's dry with a little sun :) at the moment. Long may it continue.

Kindest regards, Janeway
