I have an Acura TL and it has the handsfreelink system in it. Because I flash my Hermes with so many ROMs :) I don't bother setting it up with my car. BUT, when bluetooth is on in WM6 and I get in the car, WM6 keeps giving me this message:
"HandsfreeLink wants to connect with your device using Bluetooth. Do you want to add HandsFreeLink to your device list?" YES or NO
I choose NO. BUT, WM6 keeps asking and asking and asking with many many notifications. Because I use bluetooth with AD2P headphones, I dont want to turn it on and off all the time. How the heck can I turn that notification off in WM6? Doesn't it know when I say no, don't ask again?
Frustrated as hell! Please help.

If you don't want to pair it then go to Connections/Bluetooth/Mode and uncheck "Make this device visable to other devises", or just turn Bluetooth off when in the car.
Why don't you want to pair it? I have 2 vehicles with U-Connect and is very nice to use.

Pair another phone with your Car and don't ask again when you are in...

Because right now, I am flashing a new ROM every other day :) I would have to keep pairing over and over again. I will when I keep a ROM for a week or more :)
I'll also try to uncheck that setting, but for some reason, I thought I did that before and it still asked me to pair.

The handsfreelink system can pair many phones. I already have another phone paired to the car, but it still asks me to pair the Hermes.

I just checked and my phone never had the discoverable setting checked. It still asks to pair.

Do you name your device the same every time you flash a rom.
If so, this will be the reason, as it see's your device, but goes hang on, somethings wrong. lets just check....
I know my Parrot does the same, so i'm presuming most bluetooth kits will work on the same principle.
If I name my device something different, the phonekit doesnt bother me.
It may be easier to just say yes, & enter your pairing code if this is the reason. BTW, even with discoverable turned off, it will still ask, as your phone will be a KNOWN device.
Hope this helps

I would just pair it. I flash a new rom with 2 phones weekly and pair them. First I turn on the Bluetooth in the car and delete the phone, then I come in with the phone and pair it.... come to think of it, after I deleted the phone it does not ask me to pair it..... At one time was your phone paired to your carkit?

yes, i did pair it many times, but after flashing a new ROM, it doesn't recognize it anymore. Have to re-pair it again.
The question, is can i turn off the notification in WM6? Ask me once, but when i say no, it SHOULD ignore it indefinitely.
Can that be done in REG settings?
