Unlikely, as that would be going backwards in terms of OS.
The Official O2 ROM is windows 6 version 3.4, so considering B&B is based on 3.7 as the name suggests, it would be a backwards step to use the O2 version.

Well as far as I know, not exactly. The B&B 3.7 is based on Windows Mobile 6 Professional, CE OS 5.2.1238 (Build 17745.0.2.3) and the name B&B 3.7 is a custom name only for Tom's B&B modified ROM. And for example my old WM6 from Xda Mini S was Windows Mobile 6 Professional, CE OS 5.2.1413 (Build 17913.0.3.0). Could someone with the official O2 WM6 (not German) post the WM6 version please ?

I don't think that any B&B version is based on a specific Orbit version. After all, this ROM is not intended for an Orbit only, but should also run on a P3300, a MDA Compact III and whatever more versions of basically the same phone there are.

Official O2 UK WM6 as posted on this site. Note ROM version and date. Compared to ROM used in B&B 3.7 or available as HTC official update, as seen here (http://digilander.libero.it/clodia72/WM6BS/Device%20Information.bmp)

Ok, I agree, but is ROM version the same as Windows Mobile version ? My mobile is :
ROM version : Black&Blue 3.7 WWE.
So I could say, that ROM version could be easly modified by the ROM creator, but base Windows Mobile 6, not.

I hear what your saying.
Toms ROM is based on the HTC official one released by HTC Asia version 3.7.
If you look back through his posts you can see that his Original intention was to release B&B3.5 which would have been based on the leaked HTC ROM we got from tupisdin. So clearly Tom believed he was using a newer OS as he skipped 3.5 and gave us 3.7
The ROM in the new UKO2 version appears to be the same as the one previously released by O2 GER, which was the basis of previous B&B ROM's
However why ROM numbers appear to be going up but OS version appears static I can't say. As a guess I would think that Microsoft release a base OS version to HTC. HTC then go on to adapt and bug fix it and release different ROM versions all based on the same base build from Microsoft. However as I say that is purely a guess, I don't actually know that.
O2's version would be behind HTC because they had to be given a version at some point for their own developments and customisation. However HTC could continue to develop theirs afterwards.

probably that application software is the reason why ROM numbers are changing without OS version also changing.
