I instaled Dopod ROM U1000 but after soft reset I saw that my all email acounts are gone. What´s done?

this is freaken wierd coz it happened to me yesterday when i backed up my mobile and it restared i lost my email account, only yesterday out of all days when i actually do the same action, usually nothing happens but only yesterday, wierd, i have advantage 7500 with WM6

If you are saying that the email accounts had gone after the ROM upgrade, that is what should happen. Please clarify.

I took the time to register and post, but didn't take the time to read even the first line of warning when flashing a ROM. Wow....

dont reset it right after you create the accounts
you need to wait a while after doing some modify on your u1000 to let the modified data go to rom from ram

I have done a new flash ROM and seems to me that is OK now.

This problem is a bug of WM5.

there is a tiny solution to restore the mails accounts:

you can download it for PPC or smartphone from here:

Just had the same problem - 4 email accounts disappeared from Messaging during a soft reset - although 2 Today plugins still showed unread mail in those accounts and Messaging wouldn't let me create a new account with the same name.

Anyway, the PPC application linked above fixed it. Thanks V. much!

BTW, the bottom button disappears off the bottom of the display in landscape mode. Switch to portrait first, or just click what little you can see of the button to proceed with the repair (like I did).
