Flash to wizard love or your carrier's rom. Then use shelltool, if you get stuck repeat the process. Sometimes it takes a couple of attempts.

If your new I plead with you to read the wiki and the sticky's in the wizard forums. Then you can come back here and ask whatever you like. Most people on here are very friendly and helpful but all we ask is that others read a bit before asking. This reduces the amount of redundant questions.

There is an entire thread dedicated to the use of shelltool.

I could never get any rom to flash on my locked G4. Tried Shelltools with about 4 different roms w/o success. Finally broak down and paid the $42 US to imei-check.co.uk for their unlocking service.

Now I'm unlocked and back to flashing until my hearts content - Running NBD 8.3 w/radio 2.69.11 on my Cingular/ATT 8125.

Avoid the grey hair and if ShellTools doesn't work after the second time, pay for the service.

I also had a same problem after flashing by Shelltool and stuck on a splash screen.
Flash back to custom setting using RUU tool and Wizard Love rom.
(wizard love rom is for G4 cid locked wizards. It doesnt have IPL/SPL section)

Again I have flashed Most beautiful ver; using shelltool and now i am enjoying new WM6 on my G4 locked wizard.

After you stuck on splash screen, Your device wont detect by activesync to use with RUU (rom upgrade utility) tool. But still you can go to Bootloader mode (rainbow screen) by holding camera button while you soft reset the phone. Run the RUU tool after you manualy set the bootloder mode. RUU tool will detect your device on USB with bootloader mode (your PC not giving any sign of usb connectin but RUU detect your devise)
Othewise RUU toll give you 'error message 260'

how do I turn off the radio? does this means having the phone in flight mode?

exactly. Flight mode is radio turned off. I was surprised too, when i saw radio off, but logical thinking give me an answer. like u

yes that right! once you unlock you dont ned shell toll you can flash to any ROM!

also if you wanna use shell tool flash to trisyndicate and then to the rom you want to flash (both use shelltool) it werked ofr me

Those are two separate updates/flashes I performed after CID unlocking my 8125.

There is a thread in the WM6 forum containing NBD 8.3 and just do a search for the 2.69.11 radio. Just be sure to also search for the Cingular CAB fix for the 2.69.11 radio.
