I can recommend the 4.2 version of ArcSoft. They went back to splitting up SMS and MMS. Been using it for a couple of days now and I really like it.

Ok so i got it to install as an OEM package. Anyone wanna help with getting it to show the mms folder on the mail application. LOL. I may be good, but i aint that good. Or maybe someone can link me the provisioning xml's for 3.5 which might actually work here.

Edit:
Ok i found the provisioning deal to try and make the folder under messaging. It didnt work. So, now im confused. Any help here?

I can't seem to install this Arcsoft 4.2 correctly. It just jumbles up my old Arcsoft MMS program. Is there any way to uninstall the old Arcsoft MMS program (version 4.0) before i install 4.2? Its not in the add/remove programs list for me to uninstall :(

Only way to do that is to cook your own rom and not include it

I installed it to a vanilla ROM and everything worked great from the start...
Although I had to install the cert cab first and then the actual ArcSoft cab.

Also, here is what I got so far as an OEM package for this

At this time Im giving up. I cant seem to get anything to make the MMS folder show up. let me know if anyone gets the mxip_**.provxml file thing to work. There isnt one in the cab but oh well.

I've tried to build a rom with this with my own package I created, and tried working with Nottoosmart's (pretty much the same package I had) and while Text Messaging works just fine, I can't get MMS to show up as a folder or able to create, send, or receive MMS messages with this installed.

Anyone else?

I denno, but I installed it on xda 6, but nothing changed with my text messaging. the mms/sms folders did not split. I dunno if the program changed to the newest version or not.

Try this! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1403921&postcount=798 I think that it is not only for Tornado
After install restart device and go to Start-Messaging-Text Messages-Menu-New-MMS
Settins: Menu-Options-Message Options...-Menu-MMSC Settings

Hold on a minute. The reason I LIKE this version is cause it splits up the MMS/SMS accounts in the picker again. The way it was before 4.0.
I had no problems getting the folder to appear when installing the cert cab and then the Acrsoft cab on my Vanilla ROM, not sure which one cause I just got the nk-file through a link in these forums. I can't, for some reason, find the post where I got it from again...

I don't know if it'll actually SPLIT UP the 4.0 already merged folders, mind you I had NO MMS installed after Hard Reset.

I'm working on a hard reset this weekend, let me know if you want me to look for anything regarding this, that might hepl you out creating the OEM package for cooking.

Like I said in my first post, it's the best version I've used so far. It'd be nice to see it show up in some cooking...

I could make mms folders even two, mms and mms1. Unfortunatelly i've got an error message at reset (The file 'sddaemon' cannot be opened. Either it is signed with trusted...) and a few useless shortcuts in start menu but it works. I found a cab file about a year ago in an extended rom. The file name is MP-Short-MMS1-Voice-CV-TMUS-060404.cab. I think the needed settings in the cab with a lot of other, useless things.

The reason you are getting that error about sddaemon is because the cab you are running does 2 things, one of which is copy a file called sddaemon to your startup folder. Just delete it out. The second thing it does is create the mms folder.

Dont want this one dropping off the radar. I know there are alot of people who want the seperate MMS and SMS options again. All we got left is to figure out how to make the MMS folder under messages. Anyone?

I'm sorry but i'm just a user so i can't help you.
Why don't you take a look at the cab i've mentioned above? You can find it in the extended rom of TMobil_226 rom.
I'm sure you can find out the method of creating mms forder. If you need i will upload the file somewhere to.

Ive looked at that, Ive even pulled out the one from the Cingular Ext rom. The issue is that it creates an MMS and MMS1 option. There should only be one option. What I am trying to do is get away from having to run a cab to make the folder. Im trying to make it so that It gets cooked into the rom like we have for the 4.0 version of MMS.
