Hi,
- first of all great community here!!!
- During some really really heavy rainy hours - my Treo didn´t stay dry :(
It still worked, but everywhere was fluid. I decided to disassemble it. I´ll post pics of it if you like. There is a youtube video for the 680 which is quite similar to open.
- There already was some corrosion on some of the inner parts.
- main problem was the fluid "within" the display. (I didn´t) know that its actually 2 pieces -the display and on top of the display the touchscreen. So fluid in the display means between both! - and I wasn´t brave enough to pull them apart. I am quite happy with the drying solution I found. I put it into my "servercase" on top of a harddisk - which is constantly around 40° C. After two weeks now you have to look very close to find traces (reflexions) of fluid in between.
Since I have the thing in parts - I decided to get rid of the vodafone case brandings. I hope the airbrush guy knows how to paint the "rubber-like" case. Does anybody has had the treo airbrushed yet?
Oh - and thx to the at&t wm6 rom :)
works perfektly with a german vodafone treo 750v.
