Trying to upgrade WM6 on 8125 G4 having problems

Hi I'm new to the forum I have a Cingular 8125 IPL/SPL 2.25.0001 which I believe is a G4 device trying to get to WM6. Ok I'm trying to follow the steps for Flashing for noobs on the guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613&highlight=How+to+upgrade+8125+WM6

I get to step "G4.3 Download wizard_love rom and flash it to your device. Your device should startup again after doing this. Go to G4.4." So I downloaded the RUU and when I run it its not in English. What am I doing wrong? I want to upgrade to WM6 but I don't want to brick the phone of course. :confused:

First, you are asking a G4 specific (sort of) question in the Wm6 forum. You'd probably get more response if this was posted in teh G4 forum here...

I think the RUU that was around at the time that worked for G4's when they created Wizard Love was an Italian RUU. The rom itself will be WWE, its jsut the installer that is in Italian.

If you go to the Wizard G4 forum, there are posts there for RUU's that are in English that work for the G4. You can then take the nk.nbf file out of the Wizard Love, and put it into the English RUU you get from the G4 forum.

in the italian version just remember that "AVANTI" means next. If you cant get that to work just download the updated english version in my signature.
