Newbie + Vario 2 + a crash during wm6 update = bad

Ok, I give up. I've been searching all night and I cannot find an answer - all the answers that I have found seem to have driven me and my device further to a state that is unrecoverable.

First I couldnt update the rom at all because it crashed mid way, then I finally did get an OS up and running, yet with no radio - no imei or phone functions. I couldnt update radio rom, and I couldnt revert to the original. I now have just a boot loader, that I cannot install anything on to, at all.

I know I'm running the wrong boot loader now, but it was in effort of persuing being able to update the radio rom. I'm following the instructions to change it and at "task 32" Im getting "FF"

Please. Someone help. I cannot be accused of searching first hand as I've been sat here since 7pm trying to sort this, its now 3:44.

Bad times.. " you didnt change to hardspl boot loader before u tried to update it?" - this I dont understand. I've been following my nose all night. I've updated roms before, but i've never had any issues, certainly not like this.

Good times.. I've got it to boot. and I'm running WM6 "Pro Black" on the thing as we speak. so its not that dead..

I still have no radio version, nor imei, and spl/ipl is still 1.01. I'm trying to update radio rom, but it hangs at 0%.

i take it youve ruled out a bad usb connection? have you considered trying the SD CARD method of upgrading your rom?

thats all but ruled out, as i havent got an sd reader attached.

im making some headway, got the SPL at 1.10.Oli - still cant install radio rom though!

interesting. the shipped tmobile rom is now working...

I say working, its getting up to 13%. which is more than the 0 i was getting earlier.

Ok. So we're up to normal bootloader
IPL 1.04
SPL 2.10

No radio rom will install though. at all. error 262.

I have the same probleem with my t mobile vario 2. I can only upgrade OS ONLY rom, when I try to flash radio it freeze 0% error 262. I've tried evrything from wiki but nothing has worked jet. I hoop sameone can help us.. thanks

have you considered SIM/CID unlocking your phone? just a thought. not a definite solution. proceed with the latter (CID) AT YOUR RISK as ive heard changing CID to SUPER CID will make your device SUPER CID for eternity (?) and may void any warranty that you have..

i 've unlock my phone couple month ago. it super CID i checked with 'mtty' info 2. i can flash everything except radio :mad: :confused:
