This is not an official ROM, and it is adopted from Atom Life AKU 3.3 revision 2. It is very much faster than official ROM.

After week of usage system goes unstable. Exec can't recieve calls, reboots sometimes. In task manager aplications duplicated many times. And more. This firmware hasn't serious improvements and I back to 822.:(

I am using it third week and it is realy fast and works properly so far. I have used internet as well without any problem. I have installed HTC today plugin, pTravel Alarm, Office WM6 and everything is fine

btw does anyone have any idea how come my exec sometimes do not ring when there is an incoming call or sms? it only lights up n nothing happen.

and nothing new, is this some kind of joke or what. This is too much, I had to wait and download the file on a 56 Kbps modem for 5 hours and what I get the same O2 original rom file. Very Bad.

Did you use the link post on first first page if yes please use a bootloader mode then flash it again . It is not a joke I try before fast and stable.

Thanks Rambo 87, I downloaded from above sight and then flashed my O2 Atom exec and BINGO it worked. Unrar the file in C:\Windows\Temp\ and then hard reseted my Atom Exec. Connected to activesync in guest mode and flashed the ROM by executing "Device Software Update Utility.exe". It was hassle free and within 20 minutes my Atom Exec started with the new ROM. Following observations since usage for more then 24 hours:-
a. A bit faster (might be due to the fresh hard format as whenever you fresh hard format your device it works faster).
b. Most of the programmes are in different folders like accessories, internet etc. Although ease in use was desired but I miss the O2 Plus shortcuts, because these links are not present in the main folder of Startmenu in windows directory and cannot be read by O2 Plus.
c. Had some problem with reading telephone log. Switched off Magic Button and it started working.
d. Used internet with no problem.

Will post more if problems found. Good job done man.

After 6 days my O2 Atom Exec is still stable. Loaded Worldmate, Two Peaks Personal Vehicle Manager, TCPMP, eDictionary, Astraware Bejeweled, Code Wallet Pro 6, Saman SMS receipt delivery fix, O2 plus, O2 Phone Plus, Resco explorer.
I have observed that sending SMS to multiple users is not possible now as it was before. Now you have to add semi colon ( ; ) between each addressee to send SMS to multiple users
And 'frendi' I have IMEI/Radio on my system/information. I think you should hard reset your device once and then see.

Hi All,

Just upgraded to this rom update, i downloaded both files as per the first post, they do appear to be different, I choose to use the 02_Atom_Exec_AKU3.3.2.rar from Mega to install.

My procedure was as follows, please remember this will erase everything from your device, consider this a hard reset:

1 - Ensure 80% battery in my device
2 - Ensure that device is docked & active-sync is connected to device
3 - Extract rar package to c:\windows\temp (must be this directory)
4 - Within this directory run "Device Software Update Utility.exe"
5 - Follow the prompts to complete the install

My device has just re-booted & working ok. I've noticed that i have the following programs available now in addition to the normal items:

Accessoies (as per normal) + Magic button

O2 software (as per normal) Camera, Equalizer, FM Radio, O2 Media Plus, Photo Album, Photo Editor

Phone tools, Auto config, O2 SMS Plus, SIM manager, Voice Speed Dial

System - Jeyco SMS Backup, Nyx Password, PIM backup, Task Manager

My major question is if Microsoft Voice Command now works properly with bluetooth, i'll post with anything else i find. Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions that i can help with :)

Hi All,

Been using it now for a few hours, everything is working much faster than before, so far no issues at all.

other important information

1 - With this rom i can activate Voice Command via my bluetooth headset button, in the past this would cause my phone to loose a proper connection resulting in screaching noise (soft reset of phone was required to fix)

2 - I could never get my phone to connect to my WPA wireless network, only WEP. With this rom it connects without trouble.

As for the question on battery life, i'll let you know if i notice any major difference, however now that i can use wireless for the first time since i got the device i'm not sure i'll see any improvement here.

THANKS FOR THIS ROM, it's fixed everything i was hoping for.

After now using the new ROM for a while i'm noticing a few issues where when in a call, my phone hangs, only recovery is a soft reset. I've also missed a number of in-bound calls because the phone hasn't run or shown any inbound call information (not even a missed call).

I'll keep on updating this entry with any further info.

Tested this ROM, good, fast, but... Reflashed to latest official version because of lot problems... Yeah... Waiting WM6... But will it be better? :confused:

I hate to say but I actually observed these problems on O2's latest original ROM, especially 2. For 1, if you are using WM5torage, make sure that you are not unmounting something weird.

Well i don't have any problems with the original ROM even with the WM5 storage installed. anyway due to those unnecessary issues, i am now trying the WM6 CH ROM. So far so good, much stabler than this ROM.

I've been using the ROM now for a few days & found that my instability was caused by some software (Check Point SecureClient Mobile Client).

Anyone else noticed a major backwards step on battery life?

I upgraded 02 days, then I found that new ROM doesn't work with Windows Media Player. One more thing that I can't use Blue tooth headset DS-970 stereo any more: no music, can't end call as ussual, easy hangs...
Then I had to redo to Original ROM from O2.
Hopefully that we will have better verion.
