Tmo Wing won't back up contacts in ActiveSync?

OK, I don't understand why such a simple idea is so freaking difficult to execute? I'm fed up with ActiveSync... are there any other FREE alternatives to backing up my contacts onto my PC easily?

Had a similar problem where activesync was stuck retrieving. The problem is caused by your firewall or other anti-virus software stopping activesync from connecting with your device. You can check out the microsoft website for directions on how to configure your anti-virus software, or the more simple method to just de-activate your firewall.

I also use the same solution (PIM Backup)because I am always flashing ROM's away from my home computer, but for me it doesn't seem to save the pictures associated with the contacts so I had to figure out the solution to the problem. Once I've set permissions for the associated .exe's activesync is back to its normal self.
