Hi there, I got my O2 xda orbit 2 weeks ago from germany and I decided to change the german rom to an wwe one, but the phone got bricked and stays on the welcome screen http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/3941/dsc01147xc2.th.jpg (http://img260.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc01147xc2.jpg)
I think I did a CID unlock but I am not sure. I can get to bootloader but I don't know what to do. How can I put a WWE WM6 on my Orbit? and also how can I check if my battery is above 50%?
Thank you

Ok, but the only original O2 roms that I found in this forum are WM5, the original WM on my Orbit was WM6

Have you tried using the original O2DE WM5 ROM, although I am fairly sure that O2DE were one of the first to release a WM6 ROM.

EDIT: Yes, here it is: ftp://htc_us:htc_us_0426@66.185.19.164/RomCode/O2/RUU_Artemis_O2_DE_3.4.207.2_4.1.13.41_02.88.90_Shi p.exe

So when I flash the original O2 rom, can I upgrade to an english WM6 and how?

Follow the instructions on the UPSL thread to CID unlock your device. NOTE: Best to use an XP computer, Vista will not work right.

Then immediatly flash the ROM of your choice.

Go for B&B3.7. Stay clear of the O2 Official ROM. It's crap!!!

use the O2 wm6 upgrade nothing wrong with it really go to their site and download . If you have a UK O2 orbit you will not need to CID unlock it will go on with no problem

You don't like it then that is fine, but crap? No. It is wholly stable and works absolutely perfectly.

Don't have anything new to add that hasn't been said already.........except that i don't like it. Been using B&B3.7 until last night. O2 WM6 seems like a step backwards from this ROM, not sure why

Yes it is stable, yes it works perfectly.

I still don't like it.

B&B3.7 is very stable. It also works perfectly. plus it also works a damn site faster too.

I am entitled to my own opinion, you are to yours.

did you recover device?
you can flash any ROM with USPL installed, read USPL manual.

Thanks to everybody for their comments, but active sync does not work on my pc when the phone is bricked and stays on the welcome screen so I can't install the uspl... Also when I am able to fix this problem, which rom would you recommend me to upload on my device?

1. you need to flash your device with original ROM it was shipped with.
flashing is done from bootloader. activesync will be unavailable, don't bother. just start flasher and follow the wizard.
2. when device is flashed and operational, install uspl.
documentation is supplied with uspl.
3. since then, you can flash any ROM you like.

Hold TOP LEFT button and press in RESET and get device into bootloader. Can't do anything from welcome screen. Then flash the devices original ROM. After this flash USPL and the B&Bv4 as this is the best available...........as of yet anyway.

Hi

I followed uspl instructions. But after stage 1 (White screen) active sync will not connect. Phone connected to charger, still on White screen.

If advice above about bootloader is correct, could someone re-explain with simple steps.

Thanks colink
