Hi everyone!

Have anybody ever tried to increase RAM memory by decreasing ROM?
I used to have Qtek 2020i and it was possible to distribute free memory among RAM and ROM on that device...

What about HTC Trinity?

no that changed when wm5 came and devices started using
flash as storage rather then ram like on wm2003 devices

since when does RAM store files? RAM gets erased after a device turns off and on again!!!

not in old wm2003 devices but hardreset or batt death cleared all ram
== all storage too
because flash was not used back then

I guess that's why they had backup lithium batteries onboard.

The onboard battery is used for keeping the alive the RAM, which holds your precious data, in pre-WM5 devices, in case of changing batteries and/or SIM, or when the main battery runs out.

But the battery isn't just go away with WM5. Many devices, including Trinity still have a battery. But it is probably solely used for time keeping.
