Having problems downgrading to original rom

I need to return my cingular 8525. I currently have the Black Satin rom on it. Every time I try to downgrade I get an error [260]: Update Error. It says the usb is not connected to my phone. I have try this on 2 different computers and I get the same message. For the past week the phone has have issues detecting the usb wire so this is the problem. Is there another way I can downgrade?
