Note: I have searched through the forums looking for an answer.

I need to remove HardSPL and install the original Bootloader which I don't have a copy of, is there anyway I can extract the original boot loader from another PDA of the same model and then make a RUU of it to restore the phone to its original condition?

You have obviously searched, or else you would be asking how to remove HardSPL. :) Well done. In case you don't already know, since you searched, you get a freebie. www.mrvanx.org has a great guide on this.

Regarding the file, the easiest and safest way is usually to get the original shipped ROM that will contain the original SPL and extract it from the ROM. Many of these ROMs are in the wiki's Hermes > Shipped ROMs section.

You can start HERE (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Hermes) or look directly HERE (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Upgrades). You will notice that the table tells you what SPL is in most of the shipped ROMs, so if your ROM isn't there, just grab one that has the SPL you are looking for.

Does anyone have the SPL downgrading files that mrvanx had on his website? They are currently unavailable there? Post them as an attachment and win a trip to Oz.
