Hi,

first: sorry for bad english, i´m a german guy :-)

I have a big probleme after trying a rom update on my HTC Universal (T-Mobile MDA)

The ROM Update finished with an error near at 98% and the Device seems to be dead.

It is not possibel to enter the bootloader mode, i have try it many times by hit the right buttons ( works ever before these rom update).
The battery is o.k and when i remove the battery and connect to pc the red led light up.

With USB the device is not regnonised and also Mtty is not possible.

I have read ALL related threads and i´m pretty sure that my device is dead forever.

What do you think? Is there an further way to debrick these device?

Or do you know a german company which can repair such a problem for me?

Thanks for ALL answers

O.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately it doesn't work :-(

I have removed the battery for about 30 min, is it worth to try a longer period?

If you cant put your device in bood loader mode it is a issue! You have mentioned that you have tryed Mtty and did not worked?? Have you kill the active sync on your PC (kill the wcescomm.exe process in your task Mngr)before trying to connect with mtty?
beside Have you detached your SIM and SD card?

Unfortunately sounds as though your BootLoader is corrupt.

I believe is is possible to reload through JTag but have no idea how.

I would advise you take to a specialist for a quote on reloading BootLoader.

The same thing happend to a Charmer I had, there was no recovery for me.
Also only had a red light when powered, no display, no boot.

Have you tried removing the Battery for 5 mins, then re-inserting, hold down BackLight button whilst pressing power...........if this does not get you back to BootLoader then I think the device is as good as dead .......sorry.

I think Bepe knows the JTags, it may be worth asking him before giving up.

Cheers,
