please help i have a mda compact a cannot get the phone to wrk any more no service.
rom flashed
hard reset
does not go into factory reset (2 side buttons plus reset holding on to 2 side buttons) please advice this site is awsome

mda compact is a "magician", you may already bricked your phone by flashing a 'wizard' ROM into it.

it is not bricked. it does search and then stops

Hardreset it

Start -> Settings -> System -> Clear Storage

my friend there is no such route . yes the wizard format is like that,i have hard reset it (when it ons annd goes to the auto custamisation bit

You are very confusing. At the very first post, you just mentioned that it "does not go into factory reset". You need to provide more information, example (not limited to) the ROM that you've flashed, the ROM source, method of flashing the ROM, etc etc etc. There is a limit of patience how many rounds of 'suggest-answer' session I can go through. Try to give as much info as you can. For example, you have not even confirmed with me if your phone is a Magician or a Wizard.

From what it seems, your ROM is way too old. Mine is 2.xx.xx version. So, yours is old. Flash a new *official* ROM and try again.

i thank you what i had was a magician with no service and a wizard with a damaged screen, what i did was swop the screens and unlocked the wizard with locwiz 3 to use my o2 chip now the wizard is fine. but i am in the process of fixing the magician.
