Just to let you know that the Herald is officially toilet proof!!

Dropped mine in the toilet last week (while trying to put on a swimsuit). I removed the battery immediately and rinsed it again with clean water, and didn't put it under the sun to dry....

After 3-4 days i sent it to the local dealer and they told me it couldn't be fixed.

Got it back today, pressed the power button and everything is working perfectly (Wlan, phone, bluetooth etc..)

Herald 1 - Toilet 0

Cheers

My friend had a similar experience. Dropped PPC-6700 in the toilet a few days after I sold it to him. Managed to get it working after a using a blowdryer, but there were many problems with the phone.

everything still operational!

i think the red cancel call button may be dead, but i'll have to do a hard reset to confirm, because i remember it working just after recovering it, and i've installed a lot of stuff that may had something to do with this problem...

May be slightly OT, but a friend of mine poured an Irish Coffe  on the keyboard of his laptop (dont ask ..). Initailly it was stone dead, after 1 day it actually booted, and after 3 days he were able to type on the keyboard. Now, after a month or so, everything works EXCEPT one of the keyboard keys. Oh well :p
