need some help updating rom

hey i am trying to change my rom from the pro black 3.0.1 version. but every time it gose to update the active sync connection closed down and i get a connection error. then it connects again.

Any ideas what to do ?

i'm updating to HTC_TyTN_WWE_3.54.255.3_6275_1.48.00.10_108

Got an SD card?
get Hard-SPL v7 and install that on your PDA first,
then extract the installer, then extract the RUU_Inside file and rename the RUU_signed.nbh to HERMIMG.nbh and throw it on your memory card, then reset into the bootloader and press the power button to update

You can also try putting into bootloader mode (tri color screen) manually and then running the RUU package - manually selecting the appropriate SPL version. Be sure to select the right one though.

On that thought, be sure to do HardSPLv7 as the first upgrade - will protect the phone from getting permanently stuffed.

It is also possible that you have Windows Vista as OS on you're computer. Then you first have to change you're WDMC. These settings have to be done, believe me. At least if you have Vista! The procedure can be found in the Mr Vanx guide, see my signature.
