What is being skin and what else being done:
1. Dialer Portrait and Landscape Complete
2. Smartdialling Complete
3. Video Dialer Complete
4. Speed Dial and Call History Complete
5. All skin images moves to \Dialers instead of \Windows
6. Almost all images taken from the original Kaiser Dialer
7. BACKUP your original phone skin registry first(HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin)
8. Layout change to the exact Kaiser Dialer Layout(NEW v2.00)
9. Smart Dialing upgraded to v2.5.27647(NEW v2.00)
10. Fix the ugly 3G icon that came from Dopod.(NEW v2.00)
11. Enable display of Battery in percent in the title bar. You will have to enable battery status display first.(NEW v2.00)
12. Zoom, scroll up and down in the smartdialing REMOVED. To scroll: DRAG with your finger. To Zoom: Use Keyboard with automatically zoom to the max.(Changes v2.00)
13. Speed Dial and Call History removed. You can access SpeedDial using the DOWN Dpad and Call History using UP dpad. Or using the 360 degree wheel UP and DOWN.

IMPORTANT!!!! PLEASE READ
What you CAN do:
1. Use the skin if you like it
2. Cook into your ROM with my permision(PM me first, you will need instruction on how to modify the dll so that all the graphics can be install in Windows. All graphics must be intact. No part of them can be changed.)

What you CANNOT do:
1. Redistribute the skin, modified or not with my signature file(Readme.txt) removed.
2. Modify any part of the skin and redistrbuted under your name.
3. Take all or part of the images that dont belongs to the original Kaiser for your skin.

Tested working with 838Pro running original Dopod WM6. If your dialer has been change or your device do not use the standard HTC dialer,I dont have any idea it will work. Oh..and I will not attempt to make it work for other Hermes not running official WM6 from Dopod. You can try it by backup your phone registry first, if it work, GREAT!. If it dontsimply uninstall it and restore your registry. As always, use it at your own Risk!

play nice guys bc both of u have good and bad parts in ur dailers. i have both and both have been extracted from cabs and compared. schen urs has a good layout on the video calling. duron is more with the original kaiser theme if u look at that smart dialing and blue gradient. get ur dialers and put them together and make one.

duron is just a bit paranoid about this whole thing thinking that photoshop works is his biggest talent that none can do....

BTW I did think about designing to look exacly the same as Kaiser but it did not work. The hermes dialer has different layout. The Video Progress button screen for example will overlap. We might think that the "right" part of the main dialer is "cool" being covered with " dummy grey button", but that part of the screen has its own purpose for Hermes(picture display and Long Names and Numbers also will extend to the far right). It is not supposed to be covered.

So duron, what are you going to say....! I dont need your dialer...there are many flaw if I may say it frankly.

Dont like the idea of porting the original 3G Kaiser Dialer as I think the Hermes and Kaiser HW are quite different even if someone make it working somehow I think "stability" is something in question mark. So...here is my whole "Kaiser Phone Skin" that I think is quite nice installed with Kaiser Comm Manager and Kaiser HTC Home.

Afflicted I am not to in no case parano, which makes me laugh it is in the presentation of your ticket, one would say that you left an exclusiveness, by not wanting that it is redistributed etc….whereas others already left, one in the Romanian one of Mun_rus which with selected not to diffuse it, why? I do not know, for my part I never use it video, I worked on this dialer only because it was a lack for everyone, and contrary to you I wish to make some profit a maximum of people, I just ask those which want to integrate it in their roms, to return me a MP at the time of the exit of their roms, just for information and to announce my pseudo in the presentation of their roms.

Did not veil a polemic nor anything, just an explanation to try to include/understand the goal of such a protection, on a site of division????

This is very nice...1 Problem. After i installed this into Schaps 3.57b, the pin code entry screen turned into blue and it has the Ugly ass 3G icon. Is this normal?

Your pin entry screen should look like the attachement with default WM6 buton....see below.

The text color should be white.....if not probably your Phone Skin already being tampered with by default...probably when cooked(not official ROM). Check HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin...the registry name is pretty self explained. That is why at the beginning I ask everyone to backup this registry first...I know in some self cooked ROMthe text color has been altered from the beginning. Not sure about yours.

The 3G icon came from the phcanoverBMP.dll that I use(Dopod WM6 Oficial). That is why at the beginning I stated very clear that this is for Hermes, Dopod 838Pro, With Dopod WM6 Official. I dont know whch version of phcanoverBMP.dll that you use. Yes it is ugly. I mayhave to change that but not a priority to me....

I think I know why the initial pin entry screen is blue....because I dont skin the pin entry scree...it is in phcanoverbmp too.

OMG I have a solution to the green buttons problem that is so releveant to this thread its crazy.

first uninstall schen's 3g dialer, then install duron-marcell's 3g dialer, then reinstall schens over that.

It becomes a hybrid of the two, the buttons are white

the only 2 issues i saw were that there is a little white box in the top right corner of the dialer and the last call picture overlaps the backspace button a littl

Also on a different note, i went through the windows directory and found every single bmp associated with the regular dialer, couldn't i customize the dialer by just editing and replacing those?

I tryed both, neither worked for me. there were so many graphical faults with both of them!!

all the text is crushed up, the contacts box in the dial pad windows actually had a slide bar on it, all icons overlapping everywhere.

As i said this was with both versions, may be it is my ROM? i am using black satin.

i think that they should colaborate togother, and make the perfect dialer!!

at the moment we are half way, mix em up and we could be 85% complete!!!

to all those with ugly 3g icons and old pin pad. go to the battery thread and install one of the cabs there. if u dont already have battery enabled then it wont show the battery but will give u touch/kaiser style pin entry and clean 3g icons. if u already have the battery enabled in home screen instead of clock then u get nicer battery icons as a bonus. also this will give u guys the 20% battery warning.

I know that both you and the author of the other 3G dialer have restricted (for some reason) the use of these. Im pretty sure that both of you in your time have taken things from other and adapted them and used them for yourself.

there is no reason to release a CAB version, as this has and is causing a problem for a number of users, namely the people who already have a KAISER style dialer (a large number of people) already on their ROM. (most ROM's come with it added already)

So why not release packages for cooking? and why not colaborate together and make the work twice as well as it does (when it works) and there would be one COMPLETE WORKING 3G Dialer with all features.

Instead of saying "Mine is better than his!" or "He copied me!" work together!!

2 MINDS ARE BETTER THAN ONE!!!

I did not make this to work on your device or anyone device. I made this for mine and If it work for yours then use it if not then wait for somebody to cook for you. There are some ROM cooker aparently know what they are doing. Did I said I did allow anyone to cook this into their ROM provided that they notify me first and the skin is unaltered. You can shout as laud as you like, you wont get an answer from me or the other author. Maybe you can ask the author of Black Satin for your own problem. I dont have problem with duronmarcel. It is just a little misunderstanding at the begining. OH...we may get together for a "BEER", certainly not to solve your problem. YOU GOT THAT!

With that said I just upload in the first page an UPDATE that will fix the "Green Text Color" and "PinCode Signing Pad" that some of you experience. HERE:

wow. bennec is not yelling or anything. he is trying to get u guys to get together and make a good kaiser style dialer. plus why should jj provide support for ur dialer?? im trying not to get mad for going off on bennec. your trying to put him down and make it seem like he doesnt know how to cook. all hes trying to get is a package or permission for someone to take this dialer and improve on it.

dude dnt tek it personal, your first post says that this cant be cooked!!!

so i was just asking y CAB's had been released that would conflict with alot of devices that already have the big block dialer enabled?

i have no problem cooking this, you misunderstand me on that front, and on the fact that im shouting, ive not got the time to stress at you, i cannot help that you feel abit emotional about what i said.

i am totally able to strip this and make it cookable, (and i have already done so and it is sat in my kitchen waiting for me)

The general concensus when you release things is that it is compatible. Neither of these CAB's will work on ANY device with Precooked kaiser styles. It will work with schaps's ROMs and others like that that have not gone for the Kaiser style as standard.

i think he knows that. now ur making a idiot out of him. by the way i personally know a phcanovebmp.dll can be universal. i know what it contains and changes. smartdialing and phcanhtc are all universal. u dont need the dopod rom to install this cab. all u need to know is how to mod the cabs and/or dlls so itll work.

Now that everybody calm down, I already upload an update 1.03. All the dll are now sign with certificate found on WM5 SDK. If you install the sdkcert.cab first maybe it will work on your device. I said maybe. No guarantee though. If it dont work dont cry. Some other ROM cooker may already work to integrate this into their next release.

I will said it again here. I did allow anybody to use or to cook into their ROM if they wanted as stated in the firstpage. However I coud not allow anybody to dismantle and redistribute. The main reason for that is that I dont wantmany version scattered around elsewhere. Hoping it will stay here as the onlyone thread.

as already pointed out if the skin works for you you can simply install that dll that has the battery. It is being said on the revious page.

Well then you need to install the Kaiser.Phone.Skin.for.Hermes.WM6.Official-Schen.cab.zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=46782&d=1186765970), followed by Kaiser.Phone.Skin.Update.1.01.schen.cab.zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=46874&d=1186849301), then Kaiser.Phone.Skin.Update.1.03.schen.cab.zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=46905&d=1186886062)

Update 1.01 is just for "Pin Code" Dial pad + some registry setting to set the normal text to white and disabled text to grey. I dont know some ROM have other default color than white in the first place.

Update 1.03 is just for compatibility issue with different ROM that may have different "certificate" or "security" installed plus it give you a clean 3G icon.

Since update 1.03 overwrite the file in update 1.01 and update 1.03 also has the registry entry as update 1.01, you can safely skip update 1.01. I may delete update 1.01 later.

You should use a file explorer (not the one that comes with windows mobile, use resco or total commander) and in the windows directory if you go through it enough you will find all of the bitmaps that make up the dialer, copy them to your sd card using the file explorer, then edit them on your computer and put them back on your card and copy and replace them in the windows folder, that should make your own dialer i think, although without finding and editing the right config files, you have to make your buttons the exact same dimensions and resolution as they currently are. also, make sure you back up your regular bitmaps before you replace them.

so all in all, with this method, you cn only really change the color of the dialer not the size of the buttons like schen's and duron's

to my phone running black satin medium and it worked first time. I had to flash to a different rom to try something out, i flashed back to satin medium (same version) tryed to install it and i get a warning saying that i dont have the correct permissions!!

i flashed to a different version of satin (normal) coz i thought i had out the wrong one on, and i get the same error, now i just cant install the cab at all!

any idea why this is happening?

Kaiser com manager icon text are messed up some reason text under button icon is like 7 segment font or similar not clear at all. I probably did something with other software but how to fix the kaiser comm manager icon font back to normal. I have tryed to uninstall and then reinstall but still the same. Could i be some registery issua?

You cannot use this skin on a rom that has the style already applied.

you have to install something like schaps rom and install it onton of that.

there is no compatability with the CAB on satin (of any rom that has the style already applied through the comm manager and/or dialpad)

Minor request if you still willing to update it schen:

The 3G button only switch between GSM and WCDMA network, is it possible to make it toggle between GSM and Auto instead?

I have blotchy 3G network here, when the signal is low (1 bar) I prefer to switch to GSM. But when I turn the 3G network on from the comm manager and get a poor reception it doesn't automatically connect to GSM.

I know I can just switch it in phone options, but it's hard when u have an active directpush connection, I have to turn off directpush, change the network and turn on the directpush again.

If your pinpad dont get skinned after all installed correctly that means that Schaps ROMs might use other version of phcanrc.dll. I dont know you will have to ask schaps

This stuff is awesome... Im using it for more than a week without any problems. Except it screws up my battery indicator. Any idea how to fix that bug?

Again the Battery Status icons are inside the phcanoverbmp.dll. I notice many like the batt status on the title BAR so I include the complete icons so that for people that use the Batt Status will have the icons ready and for those that dont dont matter.

I happen to create a set of new Battery Status Icons with the Battery image smaller and slimmer while the Percent number bigger. I happen to like it this way. Please go to post No. 3 for Update2 CAB. It consist of phcanoverbmp and a couple of images that I redid that are not very important. The 3G icon also new to match the Dial Pad font....

Here is the CAB. Remember to backup your phone Skin Registry first before installing.

You can uninstall if you dont like it. Then restore the original phone skin registry and you are set.

I have been using your 9 button CommManager with 3G <--> GSM and Beam, and I would like to try this 10 Button (but not 3G dialer , I use the default one). So I wanna know do I need to install this "sdkcert.cab " if I want to install this CommManager 10 button only?
Actually I have tried twice to install without this sdkcert.cab , but the system keep saying unsucessful, I don't have ...permission to do this installation or something like this. ( I am using offical WWE ROM on X01HT)

In 24 hours? I must be joking. But no, I have some freetime today so I change the SMARTDIALER and STATUS ICONS to true Kaiser Style. Status Icons change from black to white just like Kaiser. Smartdialer uses the Kaiser style Blue and Black BG.

This will make the dialer 99% resemblance to the Kaiser and we dont need to port Kaiser 3G dialer anymore.

I have also put all update together into one. So for those of you that already install update 1,2,3 just install the accumulative update. For those that are new install the Dialer First then the accumulative update.

I have found some problems but I don't know whether it is my own problem or it is a bug.

Firstly, auto finish can only be used after soft reset. After the first call made, auto finish cannot be used.

Secondly, after I install the last update (HTC.Kaiser.3GDialer.v2.0.Accumulative.Update-schen.cab),
I found that the backspace key is replaced by the auto finish pad and dial monitor. The backspace key have been mixed by those object and cannot be used.

My device is CHT9000 WM5 version.

My installation steps are as follows
1.install SdkCerts.cab

I really like using this dialer. Hope the problem can be solved.

In 24 hours? I must be joking. But no, I have some freetime today so I change the SMARTDIALER and STATUS ICONS to true Kaiser Style. Status Icons change from black to white just like Kaiser. Smartdialer uses the Kaiser style Blue and Black BG.

This will make the dialer 99% resemblance to the Kaiser and we dont need to port Kaiser 3G dialer anymore.

I have also put all update together into one. So for those of you that already install update 1,2,3 just install the accumulative update. For those that are new install the Dialer First then the accumulative update.

Update CAB in in the 3rd post of the front page.

I have found some problems but I don't know whether it is my own problem or it is a bug.

Firstly, auto finish can only be used after soft reset. After the first call made, auto finish cannot be used.

Secondly, after I install the last update (HTC.Kaiser.3GDialer.v2.0.Accumulative.Update-schen.cab),
I found that the backspace key is replaced by the auto finish pad and dial monitor. The backspace key have been mixed by those object and cannot be used.

My device is CHT9000 WM5 version.

My installation steps are as follows
1.install SdkCerts.cab
2.install Kaiser.3G.Dialer.For.Dopod838Pro.Official.WM6-Schen.cab
3.install HTC.Kaiser.3G Dialer.v2.0 Update.1-schen.cab
4.install HTC.Kaiser.3GDialer.v2.0.Update2-schen.cab
5.install HTC.Kaiser.3GDialer.v2.0.Accumulative.Update-schen.cab

Can anyone help me solve my problem?

Hmmm, I thought it is Universal....why dont you upgrade to wm6? Otherwise you might have to wait until a version of the dialer is made for wm5.

You must have done something wrong. Trace your step back....Read the instructions on the front page again.

I know this dialer is tailor made for the user of WM6.
But I really like this dialer very much but I can't upgrade my device to WM6 due to warranty reason and WM6 is not compatible with several software that is very important to me.
Hope someone can help me to make this dialer fully compatible with WM5.

First I love this dialer and the battery icon on top. But after installing it on my Tytn the phone will not ring when I receive a phone call. Is there a setting or a tweak in the registry to fix that?

Sorry that didn't work. FYI the previous script was "apr". What I noticed is that I'm not getting the call message on the bottom of the screen where it asks it I was to Answer or Ignore the incoming call. I'm going to install "Duronmarcel" 3G Kaiser Dialer for now, it works fine on my phone.

I have a problem here, I installed this on my Cingular 8525, I first installed SDK certs, the Kaiser 3G Dialer, and then the Accumaltive update..the problem is when I go to dial, I only get the numbers 1,4,7 and 2,5,8. The third row of icons is missing. Anyone know what the problem is? I am using the official Cingular WM6 ROM. Thanks!

I have the same issue with my HTC P3600. And I find that the call history button is not work in the dialer screen. It change to redial the last when I click the button.

Hi, posted a screenshot.
I do have Shamanix 3.57 Ultra Lite ROM installed and this one has only 2G dialer without Smartdial.
I installed sdkcerts and schens 3G dialer and the accumulative update.
Now i see a strange dialpad without 3,6,9 Numbers and no videocall button.
Does the dialpad-cab do change something on the Comm-Manager too? I could swear i had an IR-button before installing the 3G dialpad.

3G dialer was enabled in HTCustom and Schaps advanced config. :confused:

Where can I set up/modify the search layout of the dialpad? The smartdial can not find a name if it contains "ščťžýá...etc".

In some soft it is possible to change this in a file or registry, but I dont know about the dialer. Can someone help?

Comfirmed same problem ,phone is not ring after install this dialer. My rom cooked by Pandora7.1 And If I used 3.61 office or V3G. It will got same problem as PAPPL (number is mixed up). Seem got incompatible with 3.61.

I have the same problem and I've found where the problem lies. It is the phcanhtc.dll that is causing the problem. What we need is the phcanhtc.dll that schen used when creating the skin. Without that, the dialer would give a lot of problems if you are not using the exact same rom as the one schen is using. If you ever install the dialer onto vp3g's rom, the whole dialer would get messed up. So schen, please update the dialer with the phcanhtc.dll

EDIT:
Nevermind, I went ahead and downloaded the HK WWE dopod 838 pro rom and extracted the phcanhtc.dll. Tossed it into the cab and did a test run. Now the contact image loads up perfectly and the dialer is 100% bug free. To fix the missing contact image problem, just add the file into the OEM/cab before cooking/installing it.

I did not include phcanhtc.dll in the OEM because it use the original from the ROM. If you use Hermes Dopod WM6 ROM there should be no problem. But if you use other non standard wm6 ROM then I guess it is right that you have to include the phcanhc.dllposted above. Thanks

Does this Dialer support "national letters", eg. polish: ń, ó, ż ?

I want to chose from dialpad number combination: 9732 to look for person who names Źrebak (with national letters)?

Useing standard dialpad, phone will find nothing (becose of "national leeters in name").

Only SPB Moblie Shell dialpad shows right entry from phonebook.

It might be a long shot, but I have a request regarding Phcanoverbmp.dll from this package. I love the black look, but I just cannot get used to the new look battery icon with the percentage.

Would somebody be able to provide a copy of the Phcanoverbmp.dll from Schen's dialler, but with the original, plain old WM6 battery icon?

I'm a little confued at how to install this. There is three zip files, with more zip files inside them. Two of the main zip files appear the same!? what order do we install these cabs, do we install all of them?
